And very soon the State Times will report that the book has all been sold out and out of stock. Of course, it will be all sold out. Every book the Old Fart comes out with is compulsory reading for all civil servants and secondary school students. Plus all the balls carriers like that Chua Tiong Poh guy from Ho Bee (you see him at every occasion that the Old Fart attends. Best Ball Carrier Award goes to him) who will order dozens and dozens for the company. The civil service will of course not be so blatant as to explicitly ask every staff to buy the book. But in their meetings etc, the bosses will make references to the Old Fart book, and in order not to get caught out or look like a fool while everyone is quoting from the book, you have no choice but to buy one and memorise a few paragraphs to impress or at least to keep up with the rest. Likewise in schools, the assignments the teachers dish out to the students would require them to obtain the info from the Old Fart's books, so again, what can the students or more accurately their parents do but to rush out and grab those books. This was told to me by a parent who desperately asked me where to get the Old Fart's book (The Hard Truth) when it was first launced. Well these are the real hard truth.
