Singaporeans voting for the PAP seems like voting against their own interests.
While Trump’s “America First” policy might have been controversial, at least it put American citizens at the center. In contrast, PAP seems to prioritize its own agenda and the interests of elites and foreign investors, often at the expense of locals.
The rising costs of living, housing issues, and the influx of foreign labor have left many Singaporeans struggling. Despite this, the PAP continues to project progress, but it often feels like this progress is for everyone except Singaporeans.
Why do people keep voting for a party that seems to ignore the needs of its citizens? Stability is important, but is it worth sacrificing the future of the average Singaporean for it?
