Bros, take it as a last chance people give to PAP. I urged all opposition to take up NCMP to gain experience and WP can get a strong parliamentary experience and bigger row to run GRC town.
If PAP fail again, the opposition parties can confidently walk into the PAP territory and take them back. Take it as a positive step forward.

We also know from now onwards, PAP cannot afford to be complacent and the charles Chong and Vivian Balakrishnan attitude will not repeat again. They should be shameful of their own results, same for no porn Liu Tuck Yew and Goh Chok Tong.

Just like what my "lousy prediction" for the oppositions victory earlier on has proven quite close to actual results.

I've not been very optimistic all this while about this GE2011 because I knew sillyporeans too well to be very "self centered". Majority of us only care for our self interests and concern very little for others. :(

People here should look further. This is probably non-obvious to many of you but it is precisely because of GE2011 that GE2016 will be a further shock to PAP if the latter do not make a significant change for the real betterment of Singapore.

For WP to secure Aljunied GRC is a key achievement to the betterment of Singapore. Time will tell, once again.

I really hope time will tell the difference and time will also change for the better. My greatest fear is that PAP will continue to let in more influx of foreigners to snatch away jobs from us. They will continue to give out citizenship to them so that in another 5 years time the PAP will have a much greater pool of voters to support them. Those who are rich and have a job in hand will never be able to understand this.

Without jobs for s'poreans, there's no need to talk about any other critical policies related to housing, medical fees, transport etc because S'poreans cannot even afford to buy basic food for themselves.

Finding a suitable job for gainful employment & earning an income to feed, clothe & support the family are not self interests. These are necessary. Its just that increasing numbers of Singaporeans have to do so outside of Singapore, like me, because of the economic conditions in Singapore.

Sorry to concur but your greatest fear will come to pass. The PAP knows who are against them & they will do everything to secure their own future. We are only digits & are expendable, & jobs at all levels will continue to go to foreigners while Singaporeans will increasingly be forced out. We have seen them through & through & we need to be either replaced or out-numbered.

The economic conditions in S'pore has already been bad for the past few days and yet the MIW keeps bringing in "too many" foreigners to take away jobs from so many people. The rich and already have a job in hand of course has other interests to safe guard but they didn't think twice about those who are jobless.
