Man, 66, arrested for murder of woman, 67, in Ang Mo Kio​

He will be charged in court on Nov. 30.

A 66-year-old man has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the murder of a 67-year-old woman, announced The Singapore Police Force (SPF) in a statement published on Nov. 29.

Police had received a call for assistance at a residential unit along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 at around 1:25am on Nov. 29, shared SPF.

The woman was found motionless in the unit upon arrival, and pronounced dead at the scene by officers.

The man was arrested at the scene.

Preliminary investigations reveal that both parties are known to each other, though the exact relationship between the two is unknown.

To be charged on Nov. 30​

Under Section 302 (1) Penal Code 1871, the man will be charged in court on Nov. 30 with murder.

The offence of murder warrants the death penalty.

Investigations are ongoing.
