Today I finally learn its hard surviving on 29k a month.

1. Condo monthly rent
2. International school fees for their 2 children
3. Income tax as a USA citizen
4. Higher cost of western food

Deduct all these from $29k they are earning as a couple and they probably live maybe like a upper middle income sinkie. $29k is really not a lot.

The condo rent only S$4.4k is not much compared to HK rental. I heard from a friend working there that their rental paid by company is much more than S$10k. And the kids are not yet school going age so no international school fees to talk about.
