Chester Thorne, one of the founders of the Port of Tacoma, bought a manor in England and shipped every brick to Lakewood to build a castle for his wife. Thornewood Castle is known as "the house that love built."

We are planning our trip across the country and choosing places to visit. I've already contacted Lux Row Distillers customer service and booked a tour, so it would be great to find other interesting places to see when going there.
