Yes she's very pretty even with light makeup. A very funny person and suprisingly intelligent, not syts type. Knows her food and wine very well while ordering food at Paris Bangkok a high end french restaurant.

In many parts of Asia taxes for importing and purchases of cars is directly related to the engine capacity of the cars. So to buy a car with big engine capacity say 3L the tax could be like 200% while one between 2L and 3L could be like 150% and below 2L and 1.5L could be 100% and even smaller engine cars could be like 50% which we call eco cars, I am just giving an example.

Many European cars over the years had adjusted accordingly to smaller engines but equally powerful in terms of hp and torque so we find a 528 having a 2L engine and even may Audi and Merc too having smaller engines but with turbo or super charges. This made the seller more competitive but at the same time having better margins too while pricing it higher that what should have been savings for customers from the lower taxes, however its a win win for both.

Lexus is a slow starter on this and has a lot to catch up with the Europeans. In Thailand this slowness is costing them as many had got used to the European prices. For example a GS equivalent car would be the Merc's E class and BMW's 5 series price difference between Lex and these two European cars could be 1mil comparing apple to apple or S$50k all because of taxes. I understand this is similar in China the largest market Lexus want to target.

So finally after many years of waiting, for me at least, Lexus woke up and follow suit and we Lexus lovers has China market to thank for.

I will be very glad to pay for this 450h F-Sport if the price in Thailand is like this as you can see this costs S$300k which is ridiculous and even the 200T is S$200k. Totally unacceptable but then what to do? I take comfort from the fact that Singapore is still more expensive :D

My brother bought a new 2016 Mitsubishi Lancer (non-guaranteed COE) last month for SGD 88K, now waiting for his COE. How much is this car in Thailand?

You can find prices here http://www.mitsubishi-motors.co.th/th/model/lancer-ex/gt/price-spec.html

Its 1,054,000 baht for Ex-GT model or S$42k ; Ex LTD model is 899,000 baht or S$36k

Compare this to the same class Toyota Corolla Altis http://www.toyota.co.th/en/model/altis and Honda Civic http://www.honda.co.th/th/civic, Mitsubishi Lancer seems to be a little expensive and I suspect could be an import and not manufactured in Thailand, Lancer is not a popular car in Thailand.

Thanks. Wow, the Sinkie price is more double that of Thailand.

You're right the Lancer model is not made in Thailand, it is made in Japan. Ironically, when my brother bought the Lancer, it was more than S$10K cheaper than the Corolla Altis and Honda Civic in Singapore.

My brother could buy 3 Lancers in New Zealand for the amount he paid for one Lancer in Singapore. Song boh Sinkies, you voted for this PAP shit.
