Politicians not living in their constituency is not a problem. It isn't even a symptom let along the cause of the problem.

The symptoms we don't like are that PAP MPs are not working for their constituents but rather working for the PAP. As time has pasesed us the divide between the PAP and the people obviously widens to the point we are at today.

The problem is the PAP. We vote out the PAP and we won't even have to worry if an MP lives in Orchard but makes the effort and time to visit the people to understand their issues and is working for the people.

Beside, Singapore is so small and it doesn't take much time to travel from one point to another. Having said that, it may be wise for politicians to choose areas that are close to them.

What I find really irritating is how some mps will go through the motions in expressing "concern" about a certain policy or statement just announced by the ministar. Go through the motions in asking a few simple questions and making a few comments, and then at the end, agreeing with the ministar and praising the policy.

This is what the PAPies are good at. MPs can only be seen once a week and that's a maybe not a surety.

What I find amusing is that the civil service seems to be trained to act dumb and in a diabolical way they want you to see your MP for the simplest of requests.

A lot of the people that see their MPs actually have issues getting the civil service to do what is right and oftentimes, simple logic and management will solve the problem without MP intervention.

Just vote them out llah. It's as simple as that. Expect 500,000 NEW FTs in the next five-year period should te PAPies win the next GE. You want?

Then vote them out and do your best to spread the magic question -

DO YOU WANT 500,000 NEW FTs? If YES VOTE PAP.

IF NO, THEN VOTE FOR THE ALTERNATIVE PARTIES.

Alternative parties need to combine temporary for the elections to have any impact.
