Radio blasts from aliens. What NASA is hiding and why?

Astronomers scratch their heads for what can be a mysterious and distant object in space, which at times emits terribly powerful Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs), so intense that they are visible almost all over the universe.
Indeed, for the time being, they do not exclude the possibility that the phenomenon comes from an extraterrestrial culture, although – as always – they consider more likely a natural explanation to date.
Initial observations were made by the world’s largest radio telescope, Puerto Rico’s Arequipo. The observations that followed and confirmed the original findings were made by astronomers at the University of California-Berkeley with the help of the Greyhound Broadcasting, as part of the Breakthrough Listening Extraterrestrial Intelligence.
The new observations have shown that the flares from FRB 121102 exhibit nearly 100% linear polarization, something completely unusual. This probably means that the source of FRBs originates in a hot gas (plasma) with a strong magnetic field, like this around a large black hole.
The international scientific team made a statement at a conference of the American Astronomical Society in Washington, and published in the journal Nature.
FRBs are very short, fast pulses of radio waves from unknown sources, making them one of the greatest mysteries of modern astronomy. This particular (FRB 121102) is the only source so far recurring so often.
Astronomers have hitherto “caught” over 200 such powerful radio broadcasts from the same source, which is in a dwarf galaxy at about three billion light years from Earth. Its flashes are estimated to be felt to Earth from such a distance, it is almost 100 million times more intense than the Sun.
The near-complete linear polarization of radio-emissions has only been observed in radio waves from extreme magnetic environments, such as the supermassive blacks at the center of the galaxies. One possibility, according to US and Dutch scientists, is that the FRB 121102 is a magnetron, a fast spinning neutron star with a very strong magnetic field, which is close to a black hole.
The duration of radio emissions (from 30 million to nine milliseconds) indicates that their source may not have a diameter greater than ten kilometers, that is, a typical neutron star (pulsar). Another explanation is that it is a magnetron that interacts not with a black hole, but with a material nebula, when a parent star exploded, creating then both the magma and the clouds of materials.
However, astronomer Viscal Gadjar of the Berkeley University’s Extraterrestrial Intelligence Research Center and Breakthrough Listen did not rule out a more bold possibility: the source of radio broadcasts being the strong signal of an alien civilization.
“We can not totally exclude the alien allegation in general about FRBs,” Ghatar said. For this reason not only will the observation of the FRB 121102 source be continued, but also a study of all other FRB sources (about 30) that have been identified to date.
