Airport Worker pays $910 airfare, flies to India to return laptop to passenger.

What if the laptop contains drugs, contraban or stolen information stored within? And passenger lost the balls and purposely left it behind?

I will sack both the staff who flew to India, and the one giving the award for being stupid.:*:

Today's TNP.

And he won a National award for this! I know that companies are weary of staff who have contacted customers and have gone to their homes or did some special favours. Some even have got the sack when the motive and agenda became apparent.

Initially I thought this guy was just overzealous but this does not sound right. Did he find the laptop or one of his staff found the laptop. Did he do the same for the locals who forget their laptop at the airport, afterall it just a taxi ride. Did he take leave for the flight to India and back. What about his accommodation and expenses. Can he afford all this on his salary. What exactly is the company policy for return of valuable items. Surely there are hundreds of items that are lost in a year and many I assume are valuables including laptops, smartphones and stuff that hold valuable data. Too many red flags.

The organisers and Certis Cisco should have more brains than allow this to be recognised and at a National level. Its sends the wrong message.

Does the laptop even cost $910?

Why not just ship the laptop?

Does a taxi driver drive from tampines to jurong to return a dunhill lighter to a passenger or does he merely place in it in lost and found cabinet?

Thanks bro, it makes sense. I am waiting to see how the public will react to this story. I am wondering what the selection members were thinking.
this pundek knew how to milk the system to gain the award - by literally practising the 'go the extra mile' (gems) service culture to india :*:

The first week both Tee and ex Justice GP Selvam went hammer and tong and they were asking the right questions. I saw the report and knew that they were told. The awards made the whole thing a joke.

I was reliably told by an old timer that ttb was told not to be too harsh 1/2 way thru the COI. And that someone is a PS. Btw, not PS MHA.

That TP officer was prepared to take on the rioters and none of his colleagues had the balls. He was then instructed to withdraw.

The dyke ambulance officer I think her name was Tiffany did not get an award. I bet all my cock hair that she was behaving in such a condescending manner that the crowd got more incensed. The TP officer was Malay, a regular Hang Tuah. Scares the hell out of me they can take over this island from the majority Chinese if they choose to rape and pillage. The Chinese will just tremble in their overpriced HDB apartments.

The SPF officers have weapons, and they did not use it to fire a few rounds into the air,
or when the crowd or rioters continue to advance, surely, a reasonable and thinking officer would fire at those individuals,
and logic would make them retreat.
If the crowd continue to advance, all the SPF officers should continue to engage the crowd with their weapons.
I believe in "Who Dares, Wins" and Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Worry about following protocol and lack of initiative/inability to adjust training skills to real life situation are the main reasons why many field agents not only fail but also put themselves and their colleagues in unnecessary danger.

That is one of the challenges.

Too many questions and very uncomfortable. He actually went to the guy's house in India.

There just too many questions. If the laptop was so so important, the owner would have caught the next flight. None of this makes sense.

There is more than one way to "skin a cat", but unfortunately, the political and education system may have hindered the development of more creative and better Singaporeans.

The following is from one of my Facebook friends.

Different Teaching and Learning Styles

Both my children had to make huge adjustments to the Singapore education system when they returned from New Zealand (NZ).
In NZ, a student starts school on his fifth birthday. The first day in school, M's teacher asked him to write a journal.
It could be anything and of any length. There was no format given. He was encouraged to express himself.
When L returned to Singapore, her Chinese Language teacher gave her a fill in the blank exercise.
The question was, “I gave my father _________”.
She filled in the blank with, “a watermelon” because I love watermelon.
However, the teacher marked it as wrong. There was only one correct answer. It was, “a present”.
L wrote an essay and it was published in a Children's Magazine.
Her teacher gave a very low score for the same essay because she did not follow the format.
In NZ they were taught how to learn and encouraged to express themselves.
Whereas in Singapore, they were stifled.
They were taught to follow a standard format and to look for the one correct answer.
They were not encouraged to express themselves.
I guess there are pros and cons of whatever education system we choose.
There is no perfect system.
Different children thrive in different system.
We as parents must play our part.
We must be active in their education and not to leave it only to the school alone.
As for my wife and I, we chose to broaden our children's interests beyond the school books.
Just the other day, L reminisced how much she enjoyed reading National Geographic when we were living in NZ.
She remembered we had a few hundred copies.
I bought them from Garage Sales. We still subscribe to National Geographic.
Just a trivial: Each time we visited the Regional Public Library in NZ, we were allowed to borrow up to 56 books for a month.

wah chinese dog scrooballs. All beacuse you are a coward and a loser doesn't mean other Chinese are like you. Btw m&ds have been raping and pillaging since the old days but didn't succeed in defeating the Chinese if not they wouldn't stand for some rule made to "discriminate" them.

Anyway what scares me more is that chinese dogs like you will bend down and suck them in a heart beat.

I saw this Facebook post before.

Quite sad, right?

When I was in primary school, this never happened. I sometimes put funny or slightly cheeky answers and they passed muster as long as grammar and syntax were correct.

Did you play rugby during your school days?
