SINGAPORE: A man was charged on Friday with bribing a duty terminal manager with the Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS) of more than S$5,000.
50-year-old Abdul Falik Abdul Latiff, a freelance airport agent, faced 12 counts of corruption.
He allegedly committed the offences at Changi Airport Terminal 2 from 2007 to 2008.
He is accused of giving Abdul Rahim Jumaat bribes between S$30 and S$500, to provide him with information of passengers checking in without any baggage.
Abdul Rahim was sentenced in July this year to two weeks' jail, a fine of S$36,000 and a penalty of S$5,080.
If convicted, Abdul Falik could be jailed up to five years or fined up to S$100,000 for each charge.
