Don't know if its a new scam or not? This lady called up my office asking for the boss. When the staff reply that the boss is not in, she will say that the boss ask her to service the aircondition and also do alteration to it...while in actual fact the boss is not even aware about it. She will claim that she has talk
personally to the boss and he has agreed to it. Some staff might be gullible and fall for it.

My question is how is she going to get away when the job is done? Must the company pay for it if the staff agreed to let her carry out the job? Any legal recourse?

Any bros encounter this before?

Thanks...:)

Huh? Your company don't even keep track of vendors/contractors walking in and out of your door?

What kind of Ah beng shop is this?!?!?!????

Friend, called up not shown up.

Anyway, this type of conning is very common.

I know of someone whose dad passed away and put out a obituary. Next day, there are hogs of flower shops going through the name list and call up any Tom, Dick and Harry company that is remotely connected to this list, indicating all sorts of reasons, and try to transact the sales.

And if you happens to stay in Eunos, Mr Sear would quietly send you a blanket free of charge.

Even so, if the company is a proper one, the first question they should ask is:

"Got PO number or not?"

So it sounds more like a small, local-owned shop no more than 5 people and with a boss that has his hand in the till a little bit too often.
