After ridding FTs, then what?

I've seen a million threads about getting rid of FTs. And how the MRTs will be half of today's capacity after foreign scum is gone. But no one has thought of how we can sustain ourselves after that.

Let's see - the foreigners are here because there are jobs here for them. If they are gone, the locals will take these jobs. But in the end there'll be more job vacancies than people. Some companies will pack up because they can't fill their vacancies. There'll be less employers.

How do we go on from this reasoning?

We should embrace FTs because they are not a threat but an aid.
When the IRs are up, there will be tonnes of jobs opening. I have been travelling to casinos very often and I see many people who worked in casinos. The employment rate is very very high. I see more job openings and opportunities when the IRs are up. Hotels, F&B, Entertainment, Casinos, Retail.....

The FTs are here to do jobs that we don't want to do. Without them, Singaporeans will have no rubbish being hauled away, void deck unswept, women have to stay home to look after kids as there is no maid etc.

Some tot... As much as i dislike the cmi behaviour of some ft.... On the other hand... Define FT... If u r a chinese, ur ancestor cum frm China... If u r malay, ur ancestor may be frm Malaysia or Indonesia... If u r Indian, ur ancestor maybe frm India... or Amercia if u r red indians... If u say get rid of FT... then most of us had 2 get rid of our father n mother too... Worst still.... Many of our papa n mama are foreign but in no way.... talent...

the drive to get FT into Singapore is a correct one.
i would be doing the same if i am running the show.. .. however 6 mil should not be the target for now..

Like MS say our ancestors are immigrants from the other countries..
What he did not stress was that many of them were unskilled workers. considering this factor, Singapore achievement is remarkable..

If we can get the cream of the crop of the other countries to Singapore.. Singapore's will have a bright future.

Just be careful with the numbers and quality that we are getting in.

With low procreation rates, many marriages involving with Vietnamese, Chinese (China), Thais, soon, become a true blue multi-racial-nationality country. Singapore really need the numbers especially for the next 10 years. The next 10 years determine how Singapore will grow from 2020 onwards. To some of us, we think its still a long way, but your children and grandchildren will be the ones walking that way. At least I see Singapore going along the right track compared with neighbouring countries who are busy "overthrowing the government", demonstrations, rallies....

Think of how to make money grow, nation strong is better than fighting to bring the nation down
