Advice needed - air travel for pooch

Sometime some things cannot be measured by price or costs. Of course can try to give away to a relative or responsible dog lover however its really difficult. The emotional attachment far exceeds any price. Do you know that dogs are the only animal who looks into your eyes and try to communicate with their eyes? Not even wolves.

It is not a matter of cost in this case, the dog has become a part of the family, and we have grown attached to it. If I am unable to afford the cost of bringing the dog with us, I will either give it to someone who wants it, or put it to sleep, and save it from any emotional stress and upsets. I know it is costly and a stupid thing to pay for, but in life, we live with many stupid issues, created by ourselves. Yes, it will be cheaper to buy another dog over there, and no hassles too, but it won't be the same personality.

He/she may not say thank you but let me tell you whenever anyone in the family is going through issues and feeling sad your dog wi be there thick and thin to comfort that family member and it's priceless.

just leave it in the hands of a relocation specialist, etc pet movers. (there are some others). its hassle free.
if wanna do it yourself, most important will be the Canadian requirements. I believe can also bring it along as check-in cargo (again, check the Canadian requirements)

Its interesting that you made all the effort to move your family all the way to Canada but you have forgotten about the dog? Doggie may freeze to death during the harsh Canadian winter. It may thinks its still Singapore and goes out for jalan jalan.

Dogs are dogs. They adapt well. No need to be a Husky to survive in Canada. You don't see dogs in jackets, do you?

Yes. The dog's love is unconditional. Just that he's always greedy and opportunistic when you leave food unattended!

The dog I had before this one was also my beer drinking kaki, he loves beer, and gotta remember to let him out to pee after drinking! Like us, their bladder becomes full after a bout of beer and they have to relieve themselves, just that with beer, the volume of liquid is much higher than drinking regular water and the paper/tray where he normally pees doesn't have the capacity to hold the volume, and it flows over! My wife would give me shit whenever that happens!

My daughter' friend might hold on to our dog for a while before sending it to the airline, or I may decide on a professional pet mover should there be too much to do, I haven't decided yet. Thanks for the suggestion.

Purely my personal opinion. I am not in your shoes and therefore cannot feel the way you do towards your dog. Sometimes, what we reckon as the best for the dog may not be the case. Eventually, we ARE the decision we make.
