A fatal crash occurred on Nicoll Highway on 2 March when a dark blue Porsche 911 Carrera burst into flames after hitting a road divider. The accident happened around 2:10 pm when the vehicle was speeding before swerving towards the KPE entrance, flipping onto its side and colliding with other cars.
Jeffrey Loh Chong Hao, aged 37, was identified as the driver who died in the crash. He was a licensed financial advisor with AIA Singapore until 2020 and served as director and shareholder of Chee Song Foods, a company producing halal-certified meat products under the "CS Foods" brand.
The Porsche involved in the accident was registered under Chee Song Foods. Mr Loh previously drove a BMW before switching to the Porsche two or three years ago. He studied banking and finance at the Singapore Institute of Management through the University of London International Programme.
Colleagues described Mr Loh as hardworking and devoted to his work. In 2013, he took over the family business from his father and demonstrated business acumen by expanding overseas operations and establishing a central kitchen that became profitable within a year.
Under Mr Loh's leadership, Chee Song Foods evolved from a local meat supplier for hawkers into a wholesaler importing various food products. He developed several departments within the company including sales, accounting, and human resources.
Both Mr Loh and his family were known for their friendliness, with employees recounting personal assistance they received, including help with passport renewal and flat rental matters. The police investigation into the crash continues.
