Local celebrity Ryan Lian is fearing for his acting career after a shocking attack outside a shopping centre left him with facial injuries.
According to Shin Min Daily News, the incident happened near a taxi stand at Nex in Serangoon on 22 November.
At around 6pm, while he was discussing work matters with a friend, a 21-year-old man allegedly attacked the actor with a knife. The 39-year-old, famous for his roles in Jack Neo-directed movies, was reportedly slashed in the face multiple times.
Shin Min reported that the man, who was subdued following the attack, has been charged.
Lian told the newspaper that he did not know his attacker. The actor was discharged from hospital on 25 November.
“The doctor asked me to be mentally prepared. My face will be affected after I recover and there will be scars,” he was quoted as saying to Shin Min.
