【星島日報報道】將軍澳科技大學有職員電郵遭入侵，警方經調查後拘捕一名21歲南亞裔男子，他涉嫌不誠實使用電腦。消息指，被捕男子為科大一名印度裔學生。
事發在上周四，警方接獲一名41歲科大男職員報案，指電子郵箱懷疑遭人入侵。警方經調查後，昨日在香港仔拘捕一名懷疑涉案的南亞裔男子，他涉嫌不誠實使用電腦，案件交由將軍澳警區刑事調查隊一隊跟進。
據悉，被捕男子為該校一名印度裔學生，他入侵一名教授的電子郵箱後，冒認其名義傳電郵至另一名負責出卷的教授，企圖騙取考試題目。至近日，兩名教授傾談期間揭發事件，決定報警處理。
科大發言人回應表示，校方於上周四向警方舉報一宗懷疑電腦入侵事件，由於案件已交警方調查，校方會盡力協助警方調查，大學不便作進一步評論。發言人強調，科大現已採用雙重認證技術加強網絡保安功能，今次入侵屬個別事件，大學會定期檢視及提升網絡安全系統。

[Sing Tao Daily] reported that an employee email was invaded at Tseung Kwan O University of Science and Technology. After investigation, the police arrested a 21-year-old South Asian man who was suspected of dishonest use of computers. According to the news, the arrested man was a student of Indian origin at HKUST.
The incident occurred on Thursday when the police received a report from a 41-year-old HKUST male staff member that the e-mail address was suspected of being invaded. Following investigations, the police arrested a man suspected of involvement in a case in South Aberdeen yesterday in Aberdeen. He was suspected of dishonest use of computers and the case was followed up by a team of criminal investigation teams from Tseung Kwan O Police District.
It is reported that the arrested man was an Indian student of the school. After he invaded the email address of a professor, he confessed to sending an e-mail to another professor who was responsible for taking out the test, in an attempt to defraud the subject of the examination. In recent days, two professors discovered the incident during talks and decided to call the police.
An HKUST spokesperson responded that the school had reported a suspected computer incursion to the police last Thursday. Since the case was sent to the police for investigation, the school will try its best to assist the police in the investigation and the university will not be able to comment further. The spokesman emphasized that HKUST has now adopted double authentication technology to strengthen its network security function. This invasion is an isolated incident and the university will regularly review and upgrade the network security system.

This invasion is an isolated incident and the university will regularly review and upgrade the network security system.
