一方面，随着中日两国关系重回正轨，中国海军和日本海自“破冰”恢复交流沟通。而另一方面，日韩却因为“雷达照射事件”公开撕破脸，韩国海军和海自的关系可以说已经彻底崩盘。
今天（2月25日），日本《产经新闻》等多家日本媒体报道，政府相关人士透露，防卫省已邀请多国参加今年10月举行的自卫队阅舰式，其中包括中国，但韩国不在其列。
海上自卫队阅舰式是海自规模最大的庆祝仪式性活动，每3年举行一次。日本首相届时会到场亲自检阅舰队。除海自舰艇外，还会邀请其他友好国家海军。

《产经新闻》称，防卫省已经向美国、澳大利亚、印度、新加坡以及中国发出邀请。除中国外，其余几国海军此前都曾参加过阅舰式。如果成行，这也将是中国海军首次参加海自阅舰式。
2018年10月日本首相安倍访华，两国关系“重回正常轨道”。外交部发言人华春莹此前表示：“双方防务部门加强交流沟通，有利于妥善管控分歧，增进安全互信。”
双方舰艇重启互访就是加强交流的一个重要举措。此前，日方已考虑参加中国海军在4月举行的阅舰式。
上一次2015年海自阅舰式，美、澳、法、韩、印5国共派出6艘舰艇参加。当时韩国海军派出的是驱逐舰“大祚荣”号（DDH-977）。

本次日方保留意见，没有第一时间邀请韩国，主要是考虑到“雷达照射事件”没有任何解决的迹象，日韩双方依旧各说各话，互不妥协。
在这一问题上立场强硬的自民党国防族议员表示：“阅舰式是首相也会参加的海自重大活动。邀请对雷达照射问题置之不理的韩国海军，会传递出日本已经和解的错误信号。韩国如果不承认事实道歉，就不应该邀请。”
