Why i hate the Communist???Personally i think even the Qing government is better then the Communist government. At least the Qing government did not damange our Chinese Culture. The Manchu even learn our culture and florish it.It is the bloody Communist destorying our Chinese Culture.Spread this info to everyone.
Let every Chinese know what is Communist!!!
Topple the Communist in China, bring forward a new Chinese China!!!

Mainland China’s communist government must take a lot of the blame for the misinformation and misconceptions surrounding kung fu today. This topic is too big to be fully discussed in an interview like this so I can only sketch out what has gone on. In the late 20th century, the government systematically suppressed and reinvented, if you will, China’s native art forms. This was one of its methods to manipulate and control the people. For instance, during the Cultural Revolution, the government promoted a total of eight “politically correct” stage plays created specifically for propaganda purposes. For ten years, an entire decade, these eight were the only plays one hundred million people were allowed to see. Another tactic was creating a fictional person—a “sample” or “model” hero--with a long story line of obedience and sacrifice for Chinese children and citizens to emulate. The art of traditional wushu (kung fu) was suppressed and reinvented in the form of modern wushu, a performance art that fuses western and eastern influences. Today, the real art of kung fu is, in fact, suffering....

This is no big deal.

PRC is refurbishing an old Soviet aircraft carrier to form an aircraft carrier battlegroup. Once that's in place, even US has to negotiate and make concession. ROC is doomed!

well, this is the proof on culture revolution started by evil Mao!!!

USA have 11 aircraft carrier battlegroup. China have maybe 1 half working.

why US have to negotiate and make concession?

Your logic is false.

Mao is dead. Now is the era of counter-revolution in PRC. Greed is progressive. Vice is profitable. There's no use harping on the past. It's past. It'd be the same as harping on the sins of Hitler, Goebbels, Hirohito, Tojo etc. but won't change Germany or Japan now or in future, as where they are and where they'll be.

PRC has one target only, i.e. ROC. USA has more than 11 contingency targets to attack or defence around the world and around the clock.

Once ROC is dead, the Communist wont be afraid of ROC fighting back or supporting their homeground anti Communist groups staging a revolution against them. That is the main reason why Communist will tried all means to take back taiwan and make dead the ROC!!!

Not to mention, when they defeat PRC army, china will sue for peace, and USA can ask them to write off the debt. It is worth their time to send a big force to china.

Five reasons why China is bound to win the race with the US

1. Economy

The US economy grew by roughly 3% last year. China's grew by 10%.

In the US, the budget deficit for the fiscal year 2009 was a whopping $1.42 trillion. China had hundreds of billions of dollars worth of budget surplus in 2010.

The US national debt just reached 14 trillion dollars and the country is paying interest on it at some $250 billion a year. Much of that money is being paid to China, its biggest creditor.

Some, especially in the US say China is at fault for keeping its currency artificially low to make its cheap but quality goods even more competitive on world markets – others vehemently disagree.

Both US and Chinese companies complain that they face obstacles when trying to enter each other’s markets directly, without a local partner.

2. System of governance or Obama vs Hu

Obama has to share power with the US Congress. The latter did not fail to oblige in demonstrating it and on the day of Hu's visit the House promptly voted to kill Obama's most important reform – the healthcare bill.Everybody including the authors of the repeal know that the Obama loyalist dominated Senate will in turn kill the repeal – but that doesn't seem to stop them from proceeding. The Chinese are likely shaking their heads in bewilderment.

Hu is presiding over The Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China, a body as powerful as little understood. If China watchers and spooks know what is going on inside it – they are not saying much. To the outside observers it appears to be monolithic and unidirectional. It's decisions are final, huge in scale and consequence, and are implemented without a hitch.

Obama is facing a battle to keep the White House his in 2012. It will take a lot of energy and likely set a new record in campaign spending- every previous one did.

Both the length of stay in power and eventual successor of Hu are known. The man called Xi Jinping will succeed Hu in the posts of secretary general and president in 2012.

3. People and businesses

- or, as Karl Marx would put it, working class and capital in the United States have conflicting goals. The workers want to keep their highly paid jobs at home – whilst corporations are under pressure to deliver profit. To make sure it happens, they move production to China where the labor is much cheaper and workers expectations are lower.

In China, while workers are paid relatively little, they share a common goal with management to produce more and to move to ever more sophisticated production.

But there is more to that than just a Chinese worker’s wage vs that of his American counterpart.

On the eve of Hu Jintao's visit, the Massachusetts company called Evergreen Solar, one ofthe largest makers of solar panels in the United States, announced that it is closing its main American factory, laying off the 800 workers by the end of March and movingproductiontoChina.

The chief reason for the move? There is much greater government support for high technology companies in China. To put it simple, China is better at setting favorable rules for investors willing to play by local rules- and keeping them in place, rain or snow. So much so that notoriously anti-union Wal Mart is happy to have all of its Chinese workforce unionized. Strikes? What strikes?

4. Geopolitics

The US is currently fighting two wars. Although one is winding down, the other shows no sign of abating. In the last 30 years, the US was engaged in dozens of military conflicts, from very small to large. The US keeps hundreds of military bases abroad – with a varied decree of welcome from the local population, from "very positive" in Kosovo to "highly negative" in Okinawa

On the world stage, the US is involved in applying various forms of political and economic pressure on several countries at any given time, with North Korea and Iran being perennial enemies.

China has not fought any wars since its short and indecisive engagement with Vietnam in 1979. Since then, the masters of Beijing prefer to fight wars for hearts and minds with fairly lavish economic aid to different countries of the world, especially in Africa. The hallmark of its foreign policy is "never criticize foreign countries, their people, governments and ways of living".

Take Pakistan. The US there is building a bunker of a new embassy and air strips to utilize its killer drones. China is building a super-highway through the mountains and deserts to the port of Gwadar that is promising quite simply to become the world biggest trade hub in the future.

5. Defense and security spending

Neither country is exactly a model of transparency when it comes to how much they really spend. But some things and trends are clear enough.

The US likely has the world’s strongest army and the second biggest. China has the world’s biggest one and, possibly, second strongest.

Both have enough nukes to annihilate the main cities of any country in the world although the US can do it many times over.

The US spends roughly 1 trillion dollars a year – China spends 10-15% of that, which is roughly 5% of the US GDP (or 20% of US federal budget) – China's is about 2.5%.

_…and three reasons why the race would take some time

1. Corruption

Acknowledged to be China's biggest problem on the way to dominating the world. Last year alone a whopping 146,517 officials across the country were investigated and tried for corruption. Estimates of money passing hands differ from several billion to hundreds of billions of dollars yearly.

The fearsome sounding The Communist Party's Central Commission for Discipline Inspection is tasked with combating "capitalist vice" but so far seems to be losing. The booming Chinese economy could probably swallow the bitter pill economically, but corruption creates unrest and makes the masses volatile. Since the Chinese economic miracle is strongly based on a social contract between the people and the all-knowing Communist Party at the helm, the latter can't afford any disturbances.

The US has a strong and comparatively efficient system of battling corruption that prides itself on the occasional arrest of some top official like Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich. It costs a chunk of money to upkeep such a police-judicial system but it instills confidence and pride in citizenry

2. Poverty

Another acknowledged problem. The average Chinese is making less than $3000 a year and in rural areas it is less than $1000. This keeps the purchasing power of the Chinese population relatvely low – but the sheer size of the population compensates. The automobile might still be seen as the ultimate symbol of success in many parts of the country – but between them the Chinese bought more cars than Americans last year.

The population of the USA is both rich and happy-go-lucky spending, including in credit. Insofar as somebody is willing to offer that credit, things will not change drastically.

3. Perceptions and PR image

The Chinese have learned to produce sleek mobile phones and fancy sneakers (and 5th generation fighter planes, by the look of things) – but they have woefully underestimated the power of mass communications within the rich world. The average European or North American has been sold the image of some undernourished slaves toiling at the factory in a faraway dusty town under the watch of a Communist Party goon with an AK-47 and Mao Tse-tung Quotations book. Drunken Russian tank-driving cossack and evil mullah ceded the image of Top Enemy to that of world-domination-bent Chinese communist. Only very recently did the Communist Party seem to realize that even the obvious things need to be sold to the finicky Western public. The resounding success of the Olympic Games in Beijing was one step in the right direction. Investing heavily in English broadcasts of CCTV 9 and Xinhua will be the other. The battle for western hearts and minds will be long though.

Unlike the Soviets and Muslim enemies that failed to materializein Devens, Massachusetts, the Chinese Menace has arrived in force . Just ask those 800 workers Evergreen Solar is laying off before shipping production lines to China.

Russia's Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN) are introducing fourth generation automated control systems with triple-redundant communication links, the service's head Lt Gen. Sergey Karakayev said on Thursday.

The new automated control systems are based on digital alert transmission systems. "The RSVN is currently introducing fourth generation automated control systems. Each system will have guaranteed triple communications redundancy," Karakayev said in an interview in Izvestia newspaper.

Karakayev said that the importance of command and control links increased as strategic nuclear launch systems aged.

Russia responds to USA with own air and space defense system
27.01.2011

43186.jpegRussian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov said the country was developing its own missile defense system. This was his answer to the question what Russia would do if the United States violated the terms of the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START-3).

On Wednesday, the Federation Council has ratified the treaty. The senators supported the amendments to the treaty during its ratification by the Duma deputies. These amendments describe the conditions of Russia's withdrawal from the treaty.

The first one has to do with a violation of its provisions by the United States. The second is the development of missile defense systems by the Americans that would qualitatively change the situation in this area, and would significantly violate national security and defense capability of Russia.

The "exceptional circumstances" also include the adoption by the U.S. of weapons systems with strategic non-nuclear equipment without it being discussed by a bilateral consultative committee, reports RIA Novosti.

During the discussion in the Council of Federation, one of the senators asked the Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov what Russia intends to undertake in the event that the United States violates the terms of the START-3. Would Russia enhance its missiles or would it develop its own missile defense system? "As for our missile defense system, we will continue developing it further as we have done before," the Minister responded.

Washington does not believe that the issue of linking the treaty on strategic offensive arms to the development of missile defense systems is relevant. Russia has quite an opposite opinion on this issue. If the Russian missile defense system was located, for example, in Cuba, it would seem that the U.S. would have a different opinion as well.

But this is no more than a theory. The point is that the emergence of the American missile defense system in Eastern Europe is quite real.
The differences over missile defense system have become one of the main issues of the Russian-US relations in recent years. This is precisely why in the process of ratification of START treaty in Moscow and Washington reservations have been made with respect to missile defense.

Russia puts much effort into opposing the U.S. plans to deploy such systems in Eastern Europe. The reasons are clear - after the implementation of these plans there will be no conversations about the balance of forces. The Americans will control all launches of missiles in the European part of Russia.

Russian initiatives on missile defense systems are obvious. Originally Russia intended a harsh response to seemingly inevitable deployment of missile defense system in Poland. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev made a decision that in response tactical Iskander complexes will be deployed in Kaliningrad region. However, after Barack Obama has stopped working on placing missile interceptors in Poland, the Russian implementation of countermeasures was also stopped. Yet, this does not mean that this idea was abandoned altogether.

This is what the defense minister was talking about, although not in too much detail. Yet, we feel that an explanation is required: we are not talking exclusively about the missile defense system.

In 2010, the Russian President agreed to establish a unified system of air and space defense of Russia, which will be the basis of the so-called unified air defense system, defense of the fifth generation. "It is assumed that the system will be mobile. That is, depending on the threat it can be relocated to certain areas to protect certain parts of the country against enemy attacks," Igor Korotchenko, chief editor of National Defense magazine, told Pravda.ru. According to him, the work on establishing such a system is conducted by PVO Concern Almaz-Antey.

"Serdyukov's statements are well grounded as this program is included in the state defense order and the state armaments program through 2020," said the expert.

This is not a Russian equivalent of the U.S. missile shield in Poland, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria or Turkey. This is a comprehensive system to protect Russia. However, this does not mean that the plans to build a joint missile defense system with the Europeans will be abandoned.

PRC is no Qing Dynasty. In preparation for war, they could and would dump all US holdings to render US dollar worthless and US bankrupted. They're not worried about domestic citizens' standards of living. The rich are rich and the poor are poor anyway, only US and their citizens would suffer.

The Korean War had already proven, China can take and absorb casualties numerically and politically that US cannot. That's why North Korea exists till today. What the hell are 7 aircraft carrier groups going to do? Blanket bomb China mainland? Max they could get to is about 3 or 4 coastal provinces.

Agreed. Whatever was done by and under Mao in the Cultural revolution cannot be attributed to Communism or the Communists. I am certain that the CCP is not proud today of what Mao had done either and would prefer that the world has forgotten. Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Idi Amin, and other mad men , the Japs etc besides the European and British Colonialists and US imperialists had at one time or another wrought destruction of all kinds on human civilsation. So this is a human trait driven by power that has gone to the head and not unique to communists alone.

The romans did that during their time of rule, the british do that during their colonilsing of the world.

dont try to help the communist.german have hitler, but now hitler nazis is gone.russia had stalin and communist, now russia is not.

china still a communist, and most of her riches belongs to the corrupted officials.
they only concentrate on how to build more riches, and still destorying china cultures.they are still controlling the press, and not justic in their rule.they can fake alot of things for the sake of their party!!!

if you still have some form of heart, you will understand what i want to tell you.but if you are supporting communist china becos she's rich now, becos you are a communist chinese yourself or worst you got no brain to think???

I'm not supporting PRC. I'm just being objective in my reading of the situation and opinion. If you talk about preference and support, sure I'd prefer ROC, but objectively, is there any realistic chance that they can make it? I may be wrong of course, and in this case if I'm wrong, I don't mind being wrong.

Yes but wrong strategy for these days. Those were used in Korean & Vietnam war eras, still applicable but today there are way better advantage from PRC over USA. That is US continental mainland is very well within reach of attacks by PRC, unlike before. This can be started at once when any part of PRC soil get under US attack, call it a counterstrike. PRC defense policy promise only not to attack with nuke 1st.

USA is very very very vulnerable an hopeless when their homeland got struck - this is well proven beyond doubt by Bin Laden during 911. All you have to do is give US 25X to 50X of 911 within the same day on their own soil. White House will be spinning up side down plus inside out to safe their own chaos and will never recover within a year. This will 2005 work perfectly I promise.

;)

The political and economic system in China is no longer Communist after Deng's open door policy. The CCP is struggling to reconcile its Party name with its capitalist slant. There is limited democracy in the form of elections at the village level, and officials at that level are decided by the villagers themselves. Over time, the system has to evolve. As long as the CCP delivers the economic goods and higher std of living and eliminates corruption that threatens to give capitalism a bad name, it would not risk social instability and consequent political insecurity, and it can go on maintaining the infrastructure and framework needed for economic growth and eventual political reforms.

No use harping over the CCP because it is no longer Communist except only in name. People who do so tend to be ROC sentimentalists, western liberals and other reactionaries who refuse to accept that the Chiang's faction is defeated and eventual reunification has alerady been deemed inevitable and acceptable to most ordinary Taiwanese. In a sense, the message to Taiwan is: be prepared to meet thy creator (PRC).

Now you're someone who knows what I'm talking about. China is not worried about how to send warplanes across the Straits to bomb Taiwan, it's so near to at least three coastal provinces. But one single navy fleet with an aircraft carrier battlegroup that's lurking on the Pacific side of Taiwan, California comes within sailing and combat range, unless US wants to pre-empt that with all-out war there and then or another cold-war blockade stand-off by which they'd bankrupt themselves. Japanese carrier-borne planes couldn't reach California in the propeller era, neither could US planes reach Japan before taking Okinawa. But this is Mach 2-3 jet era.
