A Singaporean's guide to living in Thailand

Thanks Borat.

Third day here first day do nothing just makan, yesterday Luau, today wedding, tomorrow nothing, next day back to California. So tomorrow maybe go to war memorial. Well sometimes got to do some tourist things la after all I think I'll be here only once this time. Think Asia has many beautiful beaches too. Like I posted before when we checked in in Las Vegas airport the Hawaiian Airlines check-in personnel asked us why we're going to Hawaii when Thailand is already so beautiful. Yesterday bought tickets for the luau the seller got to key in where we're from and he told us why we're here when everyone here's flocking to Thailand, its a pleasant compliment for us really.

Whatever you do in Hawaii, these places are not worth the money.
1. A tour of Big Island - long drive and several stops at tourists shops so tour guide get commission on your purchases. Very boring except perhaps the stop near a dead volcano.

2. Submarine dive -a trip in a sub but nothing much to see as very few fishes at a spot where they have an artificial reef.

3. The tour of the American War Memorial at Pearl Harbour. Boring plus what's the point in seeing warships or a cemetery?

Black Canyon used to have one outlet at Bukit Timah, think name is call Serene House beside Macdonalds. Think close down.
There was another at Katong area. White building next to Katong Shopping Center.

Think will be out of action for at least 1 week. Right ankle is getting more pain when walking. KNN, cannot made insurance claim because my motorbike license expired on 11 Mar 2012. This is a new bike (Still red licensce plate) so a little bit Sim Tia.
Hope you have recovered by now... today is Vesak Day & happy day becoz of date... 05-05-55 (hahahaha!)

ah joe so lucky can fly to hawaii i saw a few japanese - looking chicks in your pics.

Hehehe. Not fully recovered but can 'fly liaoz'. Cannot remember the SG menu of Black Canyon but I like the Tom Yam Macaroni Black Canyon serve in LOS. Tried other dishes but will order Tom Yam Macaroni if I step into Black Canyon. Somehow I like the mismatch.

Attended a Cambodian party today.

Their food is similar to Thai. Here's something they call Nom Prachok - looks and tastes like Thai Kanom Jeen.

(edited: alamak, accidentally deleted photo from album. Photobucket no way to undelete. Pai seh)

Here's an obligatory picture of a Cambodian sao.

Morning Guys! It's raining in Sin City.

RTKS, If this in BKK? Hehehe. Thai food is good for ladies who want to maintain the weight and shape of the sao sao in black. :)

Have pictures of her face? I have a feeling she's quite chio.

Face cannot lah. Mai greng jai.

First time for me at Cambodian party so I was surprised Cambodians look like Thais. Eat like Thais. Music like Mor Lam. Dance also like Thais.

Like that, maybe we should all run road to Phnom Penh next

Guess it's best some things remain a mystery (for better or worse). Keeps us blokes guessing.

On Kampuchea closeness to LOS: During my trip up Nakhon Sawan earlier this week I met a milf (her heydays working F&B in Westin Suk over liao) who now runs a market shop selling ladies clothes. She does weekly run to Kampuchea over 2 days, to replenish her inventory. Comparative economic advantage gets even better for LOS (already known for cheap stuff). Guess her weekly trips are a trade off for stock holding.

On Nakhon Sawan (nicknamed Paradise City?), I enjoyed warmth and hospitality even from strangers on my overnighter. Had 3 milfs company for supper with some pints in a nice restaurant. I had gone up to my chalet in a small resort in middle of nowhere (bad choice) after my dinner with my host. Wanted to do a night cap down
town after googling night life in NS. Asked hotel staff can order tuk2 downtown. She offered me a lift in he motorsai, and show me drink spots with transport back in a 3 hours for thb300. But surprise, she asked a friend
M (well off divorcee) who drove a speefy red pickup go pick us up. Invited me go to a luk tung country music joint, but as I preferred live pop music she took me to alfresco night spots in town but as luck would have it -
rain had places closed. She turned out to be well off lady who finances court bonds (sorry I don't know name). I didn't end up paying for motorsai night tour, but had a pleasant evening with 3 lady strangers company. M even took me for breakfast next morning, and fixed my taxi back to Bkk (after mine aeroplaned me). Kns, she tells me got 10 air conditioners on her house with swimming pool too.
