Thailand Sets Off Chaos In Domestic Auto Market By Subsidizing Chinese EVs

https://asia.nikkei.com/Business/Au...-Chinese-EV-makers-wreak-havoc-on-auto-sector

Thailand has accidentally also set off chaos in their home market by offering subsidies to Chinese EV makers, is "wreaking havoc" in Thailand. The unintended consequences of EV subsidies have also affected supply chains, with at least a dozen parts producers shutting down as subsidized Chinese EV makers avoid buying from most of them.

BYD, China's largest EV maker, aggressively cut the price of its Atto model by 37%, while Neta reduced its V-II model price by 9%. When fully operational, Chinese EV makers in Thailand will have the capacity to produce about 750,000 vehicles annually.

These subsidies have impacted the Thai automotive sector, which employs over 750,000 workers and contributes 11% to the GDP. The automotive sector is the fourth-largest economic contributor, following tourism (18%), retail (16%), and ahead of agriculture (8.6%).

My good friend retired in Bangkok at the age of 50.
He also just got married to a Thai girl whom he had a child with via IVF, cos naturally hard to conceive.
They all live in a nice condo in Asok and all he does most of the time is travel around Thailand in his jeep.
This good friend was once a banker who made his millions quickly.

Guide to living in Thailand... same as in Singapore... make sure have money. Got money, no need guide. Everyday wake up rich.
No money, jialat.

Dear @NanoSpeed , you can consider to buy medicine in Thailand and Malaysia.
I am not sure if it is safe to buy medicine in Batam

I have done that many times, and I'm trying not to visit Thailand too often. And Johor customs is a pain in the ass.

I'm running out of medication, so I think I will go Johor next week.

Batam have certified pharmacy ? 挂牌pharmacist ?

My family and I went to Bangkok last year and we travelled to the outskirts and bought medicine there.

To our surprise, the pharmacist was very professionally and understand very well about the drug contents such as mg etc
Very professional and speak very clear English

I don't need the pharmacist; I only need the pharmacy.
