Actually, the so called underaged prostitute was marketed as social escort on the internet. A social escort has no obligation to provide sexual service during her booking and the money paid to her was not for sex procurement. In the circumstance where sex actually took place, it was mutual consent between 2 mature adults (above 16) with no money transaction. Unless it can be proven that the clients paid over and above the booking fee, there is no evident that commercial sex actually took place.

I agree. Even when toeing the international line, we should be using our brains too. What is the main purpose of this law? Is it not to protect minors who are being forced into such trade? The law is trying to stop people from having paid sex with minor so that pimps will find it less lucrative to get minors into the trade.

I agree with most that in this case, the criminal is the pimp and the gal, not the 50 men. If she had advertised as 17 and those 50 men still up her, I say to hell with all of them

Whether given warning or pay fine, I think that's enough as punishment. All the publicity and photos kau liao. Okay, i day jail and fine should be the max for the victims. The pimp and gal deserved to be punished harshly for deception. All this is becoming like a joke.

They will lose the case and they will be the perpetrators as well as the victims when the end is reached. The law is the law. We have seen how laws have been bent but the precedent has been set with the principal being imprisoned.

HS's refusal to admit guilt has brought about more shame as his previous convictions and incarceration has been made public. Should the girl be a witness in court, the sordid details of these men will be made public. What kind of a man do we have that pays money to bed a girl young enough to be his daughter? What type of sexual acts as well as the sexual thoughts of these men will be made known to the public.

I beg to differ on your arguments. I agree that law is law, but since this is a highly publicised case, I think the courts still have to maintain certain degree of "Reasonableness" and have to give them a fair trial.

As for your point on bedding a girl young enough to be his daughter, I think that is your personal moralistic point of view. He is seeking a sexual service and should be one that pleases his eye. If you go on this argument, then he can only bed prostitutes above 40? Then a 60 year old man will have to look for 60 year old prostitute?
