yep! good thinking and good observations. my feeling has always been one of optimism....we went through 4 decades of struggling for survival...and we singaporeans followed "blindly" what our leaders had asked us to do...but we all made mistakes...and i believe we do make corrections....but for now.....let's GO CRUISING.....and enjoy ourselves....

yes...i dont let the pap affect my well being. i do whatever is needed for my family regardless of what the pap says. but i feel sad for singaporeans who dont have options. they are the ones who are affected most by pap's bad policies
tracy nobody is perfect....if there is such a thing as " perfect", it will be boring indeed. pap has its imperfections like all political parties,but as long as the engine in singapore continues to run "smoothly", it's still okay...
but once the faults start to get worse and the running is not smooth, it's time to sit back and rethink, relocate, reposition and renovate...if it does not do these, it will die a natural death....like all things in life, nothing will remain permanent forever...time to change and time to move on....and let others run the show.....meanwhile, happy cruising....

i think pap has too many imperfections and they dont deserve to be the govt.
i used to think like you...but i am staying to watch the fight and be with the people...good and bad. i could have gone and lived overseas, but i chose to remain here and be with the people...i'm no patriot and i'm no pap lapdog, but yes, if i stay here, at least i can give a helping hand to those who have been marginalised by the "progress" we had made...
yes, many singaporeans are true-blue singaporeans. they have no option. they cannot afford to move to other countries.their lives, their destiny and their future, are right here in singapore. for those who have left our shores, i say good luck...for those who stay on and fight the battle, i say good luck...for those who remain indifferent, unruffled and unrattled by everything, i say good luck...and for those who are fighting to improve singapore, i say good luck and blessings....god bless.

i'm confident they'll change to make themselves relevant. they've set the standards , and i believe they will continue to govern Singapore for a very long time.....no political party is perfect, and PAP is no exception. i don't see any strong viable opposition party taking over AS YET....maybe things might change i really don't know. but as long as PAP makes itself relevant , it will continue to dominate local politics and will continue to rule......peace is what we want.
