You forgot, the majority of US Chinese are also of southern Chinese descent from Canton. They arrived in the US as bonded laborers for railroad works. They're very successful in the US today.

The ones that sit on their sorry asses in the Philippines certainly aren't but those who are willing to leave home to improve their lives certainly are.

I have first hand experience with Pinoys. We hired 10 of them in the mid 90s as supervisors in a manufacturing facility. They were a hellava lot better than their Singaporean counterparts in all aspects of the job.

They wrote better English, they had no problems being assigned to night shifts and their work ethic was commendable.

Mind you I'm not dissing ALL sinkies. However, I have to point out that hardworking and talented Singaporeans no longer live in Singapore. They left the shithole ages ago. (about the time I left) They realised that life is what you make of it and whinging and complaining about the govt while not lifting a finger to do anything about their lot was not the way to go.

The Jews in the USA are extremely successful and very intelligent. The blacks are at the other end of the spectrum.

Both are of migrant stock but they arrived in the US under very different circumstances.

The Jews that ended up in the US are the ones that escaped persecution. The blacks come from the gene pool of those who were caught by the slave traders.

Now you know why gene pools are so important.

You're arguing along racial/ethnic lines which is totally unacceptable. In fact, it's racism!

All ethnicities have an IQ/EQ spread which follows a normal distribution curve. There is brilliance and stupidity in equal measure in all races.

All I am saying is that the Chinese in Singapore come from a gene pool that was at the wrong end of the distribution curve. In other words, the ancestors of Singapore's Chinese population were from the less capable and less intelligent spectrum of Chinese society.
