First they steal our jobs, next they steal our song.
The Singapore government does not even dare to pursue copyright infringement against its CECA treaty partner India.
Count On Me becomes hypocritical.
No point singing it when our own government can't even be counted to defend our copyright.
Might as well gift the song to India.
Ask all that you know not to sing the song when they are required to.

Would the government dare to play this song during this year's National Day parade and celebrations?

Honorable mentions but not included: Amita Singhal teaching her retarded son to read the lyrics, and the students of Convent School Jammu singing this on Zoom but changing some of the lyrics to 'fighting Covid-19'.

I've stopped caring about NDP or the various propaganda songs since a long time ago. Let's be totally honest: the new songs are utter shit, and the new compositions of the old songs are also shit. It all went downhill after Kit Chan's 'Home'. Deal with it.

MCCY is headed by:

Edwin Tong - a lawyer who should, of all people, know about copyright. Instead of pursuing this matter, he chose to keep quiet and focus on going for glory in Goal 2034.

Low Yen Ling - mayor of South West, paid $660,000 as mayor on top of an MP allowance of $192,500. She is too busy with counting her money to pursue this matter.

Edwin Tong is the sleazy lawyer who represented Kong Hee. That's all you need to know about him.
