Criminal suspect so stubborn that it takes 8 cops and 4 squad cars to subdue him
A STOMPer witnessed eight police officers trying to subdue a stubborn suspect in front of Block 124 Bedok Reservoir at about 3pm yesterday (Sept 1).
He said:
"About 8 policemen and 4 police cars attended to this person.
"I don't know what happened.
"You can see from my pictures and videos. The video shows that the guy was very stubborn, he did not want to go into the police car and tried to escape.
"The guy looked like he was in his late twenties.
"His hands were in handcuffs.
"I saw the police talking to the guy and the guy tried to escape.
"They pushed him to the ground and handcuffed him.
"The whole incident took about more than half an hour."
Police has responded to a STOMP query about the case.
This is its reply in full:
"Police arrested a Chinese man in his late twenties near Block 124 Bedok Reservoir Road for drug-related offences on September 1.
"Investigations are ongoing."
