Neil Sedaka - "Laughter In The Rain"
"Laughter in the Rain" is a song recorded by Neil Sedaka, composed by him with lyrics by Phil Cody. It includes a 20-second saxophone solo by Jim Horn. Cody reports writing the lyrics in about five minutes after smoking marijuana and falling asleep under a tree for a couple of hours.
In the USA, "Laughter in the Rain" reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 on February 1, 1975. The song spent two weeks at the top of the adult contemporary chart.
The song was likewise a major hit in Canada, reaching number two on the pop singles chart and number one on the Adult Contemporary chart. The song was also released in the UK where it spent spent nine weeks on the Singles Chart, peaking at No. 15 on June 22, 1974.

Joe Cocker & Jennifer Warnes - Up Where We Belong
"Up Where We Belong" is a Platinum-certified, Grammy Award-winning hit song written by Jack Nitzsche, Buffy Sainte-Marie, and Will Jennings. It was recorded by Joe Cocker (lead vocals) and Jennifer Warnes (lead and background vocals) for the smash 1982 film An Officer and a Gentleman.
"Up Where We Belong" won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song and the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1983. It also won the BAFTA Film Awards for Best Original Song in 1984. Cocker and Warnes also won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal in 1983 for their rendition of this song. In 2004 it finished at #75 in AFI's 100 Years...100 Songs survey of top tunes in American cinema.

Johnny Lee - "Looking For Love"
"Lookin' for Love" is a song written by Wanda Mallette, Bob Morrison and Patti Ryan, and recorded by American country music singer Johnny Lee. It released in June 1980 as part of the soundtrack to the film Urban Cowboy, released that year.
Lee whose biggest hit to date had been a 1977 cover of Ricky Nelson's "Garden Party" had previously been one of the main nightclub acts at Gilley's, a nightclub owned by country music superstar Mickey Gilley. Record executive Irving Azoff offered Lee the chance to record "Lookin' For Love," a song that 20-plus artists had rejected.
Critics were not kind to Lee nor the song. Country music historian Bill Malone once noted that "Lookin' for Love" — in his words, a "lilting little pop song" — became the featured song of Urban Cowboy and a huge commercial hit largely because "actor John Travolta (the movie's co-star) expressed a liking for it." Critic Kurt Wolff panned the song as an example of "watered-down cowboy music."
Public reaction was much better. "Lookin' for Love" rose to No. 1 (for a three-week stay) on the Billboard magazine Hot Country Singles chart,and was a No. 5 Billboard Hot 100 hit as well.
"Lookin' for Love" was certified gold for sales of 1 million units by the Recording Industry Association of America
