Five more badly behaved tourists have been put on national blacklist by the authorities in China.

They include three people who got into a row over a seat that was tipped back on an airliner and man who attacked a convenience store worker in Japan.

Sixteen Chinese tourist have been put on the blacklist so far this year, the China Tourism Administration said on its website.

The three latest cases took place between August and October, it added.

A man from Shanghai, Rong Jiaxin, beat up a convenience store clerk who stopped his wife tearing apart food wrappers before paying for items at a store in Sapporo in September, the statement said.

Rong thought staff were humiliating his wife and punched a clerk on the nose.

Police later detained the couple.

Three people from Sichuan province in southwest China were put on the blacklist after they were involved in a scuffle on an airliner flying from Siem Reap to Chengdu in October.

A woman reclined her seat after boarding the plane and got involved in a row with another couple.

They were later forced to leave the plane and the flight was delayed for more than an hour.

The third incident involved a man, Huang Jiankui, from Hunan Province, the tourism authority said.

He quarrelled with a tour guide and hit them on the head with a teacup after refusing to buy a ticket for his child during a one-day tour of a mountainous resort in Sichuan province in August.

His child was taller than 1.2 metres and children under that height did not have to buy a ticket.

Twelve of the 16 Chinese tourists blacklisted so far this year were involved in incidents related to air travel, the tourism authority said.

These varied from opening emergency doors on aircraft to throwing hot water over flight attendants.

Tourists remain on the blacklist for one to three years and it is circulated to organisations including travel companies and airlines.

Four mainland tourists who took part in an "uncivilised" attack on ground crew at Hong Kong International Airport after a flight delay on Tuesday were yesterday jailed for a combined total of 39 days in Tsuen Wan Court.

They were among six people who were arrested following a scuffle with seven airport staff at the boarding gate for a Hong Kong Airlines flight to Beijing.

The four who pleaded guilty were mobile phone salesman Wang Wenqi, 20, who was jailed for 11 days for punching three staff members; housewife Liu Baoju, 37, who was sentenced to 10 days for attacking two other people; tour guide Guo Xueyuan, 29, and civil servant Yu Junwang, 42, who were each sentenced to nine days for assaulting another crew member.

Together, the four admitted to seven counts of assault.

Zhao Li, 39, a housewife, pleaded not guilty to one count of common assault for allegedly attacking one ground staff member, while student Li Haoxuan, 21, was slapped with a HK$1,500 fine after he pleaded guilty to one count of causing a nuisance and annoyance by pouring water on a ground staff member.

The fracas took place at about 2.30am on Tuesday as 225 passengers waited for a Beijing-bound flight, which was supposed to have left at 8.30pm on Monday.

The airline said previously the flight had been delayed "due to adverse weather and air traffic control in Beijing". But yesterday, the court heard the flight was grounded at the behest of Shanghai's air traffic control.

As dissatisfaction over the delay grew, the defendants attempted to rush through the boarding gate. They were, however, blocked by staff from the airline and airport ground services, the court heard.

During the scuffle, Liu pushed a staff member to the ground, before kicking another as she was being subdued.

Wang punched a staff member on the shoulder and another on the head, before hitting a third on his face, the court heard.

In mitigation, defence lawyer Charmaine Lo said the defendants' emotions had been affected by the long delay.

But Acting Principal Magistrate Cheang Kei-hong said: "They still can't take it out on others and beat people up."

Calling the assaults "uncivilised" he added that it was the ground crew's duty to safeguard restricted zones, so the court had to protect them.

Lo said her four clients who had pleaded guilty were not happy that they were not offered proper accommodation, since the airport lounge was very cold.

Zhao was ordered not to leave Hong Kong until her next court appearance on September 9. Her bail was set at HK$100,000.

A video of a Thai celebrity accusing Chinese tourists of line-cutting and misbehaving in an airport in Jeju island, South Korea has gone viral after being uploaded online earlier this month, reports US-based Chinese news outlet Duowei.

In the video that has been translated into Chinese and English, Thai model Duangjai Phichitamphon reveals the chaos at a tax-refund counter in the airport. According to the model, who filmed the two-minute video as a witness and victim, all other tourists, representing various other nationalities, lined up in front of the counter to wait for their turn until a crowd of Chinese tourists showed up, cutting in line and blocking others from approaching the counter.

Furious, Phichitamphon rants in Thai, saying that her feet got stepped on and her hair got pulled by the mob of Chinese amid the utter disorder they created. She criticizes the group of tourists for being rude and negligent of civil courtesy.

The video has accumulated millions of hits and raised some debate. Some Chinese netizens said they are embarrassed of the video and urged their nationals to behave, while others questioned the motive of the model, saying it made sense that the Chinese tourists would act in such a way since they wanted to receive their tax refund and there were many people.

Misbehaving Chinese tourists have stirred up media and public concern in Thailand recently. Chinese nationals reportedly placed their bras and underwear over some chairs left in public spaces at at Thailand airport in February. Earlier this month, Chinese visitors were seen washing their feet and shoes in the sinks at a famous Thai tourist destination.

China names and shames four 'hysterical' tourists who sang national anthem at Bangkok airport amid flight delay

Their names have been added to a blacklist of Chinese travellers found guilty of "uncivilised behaviour"

Four Chinese tourists who staged a protest at Bangkok airport, refusing to board their delayed plane until their compensation demands were met and singing the national anthem to vent their frustration, have been named and shamed by the mainland's tourist authorities.

Their names have been added to a blacklist of Chinese travellers found guilty of "uncivilised behaviour", the China National Tourism Administration said.

The four were said to be the ringleaders of the protest after their flight back to China was delayed by 10 hours earlier this month. The incident, widely reported on the mainland, was the latest in a series of highly publicised cases of Chinese travellers behaving badly overseas.

Smartphone footage of the stand-off at Bangkok's international airport went viral on the internet. The tourists were part of a tour group from Sichuan province and Chongqing whose flight had been delayed until 3am.

Many were unhappy with arrangements made by the airline and airport and some refused to leave the waiting area when boarding began, demanding an apology and compensation.

"The behaviour of a few uncivilised tourists does not represent the overall image of Chinese tourists, but they have caused negative and serious consequences," an unnamed official was quoted as saying in the tourism administration statement.

"The four tourists' behaviour in this incident was the worst. [They] provoked other tourists to violate public order with extreme language and actions."

The tourism administration announced details earlier this year of its blacklist of travellers who behave badly. It now has 11 names after the latest four were added. Their names are kept on file for two to three years.

Blacklisting does not mean travellers are banned from flying, but names can be checked by airlines and travel agencies who have the option of refusing them service. The list is public and can be viewed by police, customs, border security agents, banks and other credit institutions.

An official at the Ministry of Commerce, who asked not to be named, said the authorities were right to take tough action against unruly tourists. "Their bad behaviour not only made local people angry, but left many civilised Chinese citizens overseas and at home uncomfortable. It's already affected China's investment and political interests in some regions," he said.

A travel agency manager in Guangzhou said the tourists' actions were counterproductive. "Singing the national anthem won't help when you encounter a problem overseas. It will only complicate the issue for Chinese tourists," she said.

"This is a very rare incident, but it will serve a good lesson to travellers going overseas that the government doesn't care if you're a patriot if you embarrass the country."

Others on the blacklist include two people who were involved in a dispute with cabin staff on a flight from Bangkok to Nanjing last December over their seats.

Chinese traffic police on patrol spotted a group of five adults and a child sitting enjoying the mountain scenery while having a picnic – right in the middle of the emergency lane of a highway, mainland media reports.

The group, who had been travelling in a van that was parked illegally on the emergency lane, were seated on chairs around a picnic table on Lasi Highway in the mountainous mainland province of Sichuan, the WCC Daily newspaper reported on Thursday.

Photographs taken by police showed the group having a picnic after stopping and parking their vehicle near Shimian county. Litter including discarded tissues had been thrown on the floor next to them.

Lasi Highway, which runs for 240 km from the Sichuan city of Yaan to Mianning county, which is a popular tourist destination for holidaymakers.

According to the report, more than 34,000 vehicles have passed along the highway everyday since Tuesday, the second day of the new Lunar New Year.

Traffic police had found that a number of motorists liked to park their vehicles on the highway’s emergency lane so they could have a rest, and often left behind litter that was difficult to clear up, the report said.

According to mainland laws, emergency lanes should be used only by specific vehicles, such as fire engines, ambulances, and police cars.

All other vehicles are forbidden from entering or stopping on emergency lanes.

The report did not say whether the people caught having a picnic would be punished.

Pretty soon, the tiongs in sinapor will use the expressways in the island for their picnics spots. They are already using the areas near to the foodstalls in peoples park complex as their littering dump, cig butts, papers, bottles, and their spittle. NEA officers are usually not seen in these areas. Afraid of booking the tiongs for littering? Afraid of getting whacked?

Xi, and other leader may have other ideas for the Chinese people, but culture is passed down by habit and practice from one generation to the next. If the parents do not exhibit civilized behaviour, the children will not practice it, and it goes on and on. No matter what he state or authorities do, people will only act out during the campaign or do so to avoid getting fined, punished, or shamed. In order for the habit to be ingrained and become a norm, it should be taught by elders to the youngsters early, preferably at home. Good behaviour, manners, courtesy should be taught and practiced starting at home, by parents.

Cheers!

Fret not. Fatty Xi will teach these scums a lesson

Engaging in such 五十步笑百步 comparisons is fucking useless and actually make these half-baked "humans" from TW, HK, MY, SG, etc feel fucking superior when all they are is a different variety of scum!

http://chinablog.cc/2009/02/50-steps-laughing-at-100-steps/

I have read a report of a free textbook for needy event that turned into a free for all fight and it happened in SG and was reported in the Shit Times many years ago. Some of these "needy" drove there in Mercedes! A professor of sociology or something tried to rationalise it as "humans" not knowing the proper thing to do when encountering "new" and "strange" situations like free textbooks for needy. Then what is their fucking brains for!

This week alone, I was irritated by these fucktard NON-PRC Chinks - coughing without covering mouths; sneezing like fucking thunder and hands and brains are fucking retarded; spitting on pavement; etc - and at least half of these fucktards are young i.e. not Ah Peks which means they are going to continue to do these when they are Ah Peks, which means no hope for decades if not centuries to come .........

I have to waste a substantial part of my energy trying to avoid these animals when all I have to do in First World countries is to avoid certain suburbs (where there are many poor and homeless) and better still large cities in general like New York or London.

Now I 101% understand why the sign in Shanghai says "no dogs and Chinese allowed".

Imagine you're a homesick expatriate dying to go home after you make your bundle of gold and in the meantime need some escape from the hordes of filthy and unhygienic Chinks in the other parts of town. The community of expatriates have decided to make a peaceful public park to help mitigate your pain when you're off duty. You don't want the peace and quiet to be spoiled by some stupid Chink spitting on pavement (in those days Chinks of all classes do that - LKY wrote that when he visited the Great Hall of the People there were spittoons everywhere), sneezing like fucking thunder and what not! Not only cannot relax, may catch some disease when all that needs to be done to prevent it is fucking dog train these fucktard Chinks to cover their fucking mouths and other methods of hygiene.

Bruce Lee, being an Americanised Chinese, will 101% agree with me, but he also needs to make money from movie tickets ...........

Wrong again, I am smart enough to know that playing fucking clone games is pointless and fucking waste of time and energy.

You must be either naive or stupid or both to think that you can ascertain beyond reasonable doubt that any forummer is of whatever race or personality or any other crap just from reading his, her or its posts even from the very beginning. In the virtual world, without face to face or even voice to voice contact, it is extremely easy to pretend to be any type of personality or profile. And when your cover is blown, you can play pyscho games by having an army of ready made clones in advance and writing this kind of fucktard useless posts. Go try these games on someone else, better still go get a life and spend less time in useless forums like this.

Either u are naive or stupid or both. :D
