50 foreign workers fight over prostitute

2 groups of foreign construction workers fought over prostitutes at desker road yesterday night. 50 workers who are involved in the fight are from Cambodia and Bangladesh. They fought using wooden poles and metal chains. 12 Cambodia workers were arrested by police and 3 Bangladesh workers were hospitalised.

《联合晚报》接到热心读者的通知后，第一时间赶到现场。

据知，两帮人马分别来自缅甸和孟加拉，部分是同个建筑公司的工人，住在该路段的客工宿舍。

目击者李庆和（55岁，半退休人士）说，他看到两班人马手持长约1米的武器，如木棍、铁条等，隔着一棵大树不停向对方叫嚣、喊话和挑衅，场面一触即发。

“有约20个缅甸人和30个孟加拉人聚集在楼下，喊不到一会儿，他们便打了起来，场面很混乱，间中有人倒在地上，被同伴抬走，有的则跑掉，过后又来了更多人。”

李庆和见状立即报警，警方赶到后，在骚乱罪名下，将12名年龄介于23岁到32岁的缅甸籍男子逮捕，3名受伤的孟加拉籍男子则被送往医院治疗。
