新加坡時事評論員李慧敏估計，李光耀一旦去世，新加坡政壇將冒出更多反對聲音，質疑、反對李光耀兒子李顯龍領導的「弱勢的強勢政府」。不過，不少公務員及商人擔心若投反對票，向執政人民行動黨說不，將會被秋後算賬，料新加坡在下屆大選變天的機會不大。



引入外來移民惹爭議
《成長在李光耀時代》的作者李慧敏昨接受本報訪問時表示，一些在上世紀六、七十年代被李光耀打壓的反對派人士近年再度活躍，紛紛寫書否定人民行動黨眼中的歷史，估計一旦李光耀去世，將有更多人出來反對李顯龍政府；也不排除執政人民行動黨會宣佈提前大選，爭取同情票。


她形容，李顯龍是「弱勢的強勢政府」，上台後，言論自由、表達自由沒有放寬反而收窄，因為他擔心一旦放權，容許言論百花齊放，情況將一發不可收拾。


李慧敏指出，新加坡選民主要分為反對派、維持現狀派及恐懼派三類。反對派不滿李顯龍在人口、房屋及交通的弊政，大量引入外來移民，讓新加坡人口十多年間由原本的三百萬直飆到目前的五百多萬人口，弄到地鐵擠逼，民怨沸騰。
