Why nobody asked the ministers if they are willing to work for half their pay???

If the answer is yes, why are they not drawing half their pay?

If the answer is no, its obvious that they are working for the $$ and has no heart to serve the people.

I wonder if any minister dare to answer this question.

if SGD 3,000,000 per year pay package, plus 8 months bonus, plus plus plus (extra perks, like free medical insurance, holidays, etc... blah blah blah), is not enough...

Then perhaps, they are telling us Singaporeans Citizens that, they want a pay raise to perhaps SGD 10,000,000 or more... like What Teo Chee Hean says, do you know how many zeros are there in 60 Billion? (yes we all know, there are 10), so maybe they are asking,

DO YOU KNOW, how many Zeros are there in 3 Million? (only 6) how about making it to 7 zeros, and slowly increase to 8 zeros, then to 9 zeros, and then to the most difficult question, 10 zeros...

Do you know how much money are paid to Singapore Parliament Cabinet Ministers a year? SGD 200,000,000 and I lost count, how many zeros are there? 8 Zeros, not enough... it must match to 10 Zeros! because the whatever amount of money is spent on Singapore Economic Plans, it must be equal to the amount paid to the Cabinet Ministers.

The Dutch economist, Mr. WInsemuis, who is the architect of Singapore's economic success, WORKED FOR FREE!!. Yes, that u read it right. He was not paid for bringing successful ideas to to a country that was not his. Whenhe had to travel to singapore, he flew first class, stayed at nice hotel, free food, but was never on singapore govt. salary. How can this bunch as assholes compare to him?

Where the $$$ comes from, it is from the gst, income taxes, erp, high transport fares ... etc etc ...

Better still peg it to 1% of average of Bill Gates n Warren Buffets annual income.
Afterall they are top earners in the world as ministers and are no less capable than Gates or Buffet.
Would 1% be too little or an insult to their intelligence?

Agreed, $3million is not enough to hire a good minister.

You need to structure a family deal.

1. make me Prime Minister - about $3.5 million a year


2. Make my dad Minister Mentor - about $3 million a year

3. Make my wife the CEO of the national sovereign wealth fund - about $15 million a year

4. My other relatives - $100 million
- ie, brother as CEO of state telecom monopoly
- cousin as deputy prime minister
- a dozen other uncles and aunts and cousins in GLC boards and management
- mom and other relatives as subcontractor to government projects

Ya, about $121 million a year is more reasonable.

That way, over my premiership of 20 years, my family can make about $2.4 billion ma!

Somemore no risk. No shareholder (voter) revolt, no accountability, no transparency.

Also add on 50% pension money of their basic salary and plus special performance bonus pegged to the GDP.

I'm told for year 2010 they collected 18 months bonus which they need not declare to the public.

Many were confused with the recent media report that senior civil servants collected 8 months bonus.
