RIP Adrian Looi: Dato Tony Looi’s Son Passed Away Just 6 Days Before His Birthday​

Adrian Looi (雷力维), the son of Ban Lee Hin Group chairman Dato Tony Looi (雷智雄), suddenly passed away at age 28. Tony shared the devastating news to the public through his official Facebook page on 12th February.

In the Facebook post, the entrepreneur also shared details about his son’s cause of death, which was a heart attack.
According to the post, Adrian suddenly collapsed in the shower after suffering cardiac arrest. He fell into a coma shortly after and all efforts to rescue him failed.

Adrian ultimately succumbed to the heart attack and passed away on the morning of 10th February, the first day of Chinese New Year and six days before his birthday.

Tony and his family are all still in shock over Adrian’s sudden death. The businessman has since cancelled all plans, including a Chinese New Year celebration and Ban Lee Hin’s 50th-anniversary dinner. Friends and family are also asked not to contact the family to show respect to them as they mourn Adrian’s passing.
Taking to Facebook, Tony expressed his sorrow over his son’s death, saying, “I can’t accept losing you yet. I really don’t know how long I can last. I don’t know how to. Son, I’m really hurt and tired”. Following the post, many friends and netizens flood Tony’s Facebook page with condolences and supportive messages for the entrepreneur. Adrian’s funeral service will be held at Nirvana Memorial Centre on 14th February, and in respect of his family’s wishes, only family and loved ones are expected at the ceremony.
