I might be wrong but I have an eerie feeling that the Golden Boot award is all that England can achieve, like what Gary Lineker achieved in the 1986 World Cup.

Gary Lineker scored 6 goals in 1986 World Cup. A hat trick against Poland, double against Paraguay and 1 goal against Argentina.

I think the best is that England to finish as runner up this 2018 World Cup.

Harry Kane will be very lucky to win the Golden Boot award as more than half of his goal scored were against much weaker teams and via penalties too

The last time Brazil won WC on European soil was in 1958 against host nation Sweden.

That was also the first time they won the WC.

Can Brazil win the WC on Eurasian soil again in 2018? I think it's high time they did.

It’s has been 16 years since a South America country won the World Cup.

In World Cup 2014, Argentina finished as runner-up :frown:

Brazil is very strong as they are winners in the Conmebol World Cup qualifiers and Uruguay finished as runner-up.

Brazil also dropped Oscar and Hulk who played in the last World Cup in Rio. More importantly David Luiz is not selected

Oscar and David Luiz, both scored twice in World Cup 2014.

This year Brazil defence is much stronger than 4 years ago. The midfield comprising of Coutinho, Paulinho, Fernandinho and Willian are a very solid controlling unit.

Brazil just need to win a match 1-0 or 2-0 and go all the way will do
