Oct 12th this year saw the 6th anniversary of the tragedy that struck down my very dear friend in the prime of his life, in the Sari Club at Kuta, Bali. My prayers for his soul, and for the continuing strength of his family and loved ones.

The bombers still remain alive and laughing in the face of authorities.

Meanwhile, back in Sydney yesterday, hundreds of people gathered on the coast to offer their respect to the innocent victims of the bombings that killed more than 200 people, including 88 Australians.

Twenty of the dead were from Sydney's eastern suburbs of Coogee, Maroubra, Malabar and Matraville, with six of those that lost their lives from the Coogee Dolphins rugby league club.

Family and friends of the victims and survivors gathered for the 45-minute ceremony at Dolphin Point, at the northern end of Coogee Beach.

From the Sydney Morning Herald: "New South Wales Premier Nathan Rees gave a brief speech followed by speeches from Hannah Singer, who lost her brother Tom Singer in the blasts, and Ross McKeon who lost his wife and daughter and was injured himself".

Mr McKeon told the crowd that his family heard the first blast just moments before the second bomb went off. He said "As we turned away I can still remember the whiplash and the roof collapsing. On that night I had half my soul torn away."

After the ceremony concluded, the mourners then lined up to place flowers at a special memorial which was constructed for the one year anniversary of the bombings.

May all the victims Rest In Peace.

These are devil incarnates, they should be cursed to burn in hell. The world will be a much peaceful and better place without them and their religion.

So sad innocent people had to die in such a tragic way. May God's blessing be on all the victims' soul, rest in peace, Amen!.

Humiliation heaped on native souls by a minority, vengeance returned paid by the majority. Could it be an additional hidden part of the bomber's agenda? After all Ozzies are well known for their sensitivities towards locals wherever they may be. Excruciating to the heart since I grew up enjoying Skippy, Rolf Harris and Helen Reddy. In later years it was ONJ, John Forham and Southern Sun. Truly a love hate impasse.

a good point. i felt for the balinese and could never condone terrorism, but the racism inherent in australians might have played a role in the attacks. australians and australia is a disaster, one of the worse people/nations in the whole world. the australian people need to be taught a lesson.
