there are numerous $2 meals all over the island, expect no one is really keen to write about them.
such good and cheap meals are only possible if the operating cost of the stall is low and the owner
being contented with a small profit...

at some coffee shops along geylang road, there are some stalls operating by ah tiongs which charge
only $2 for 2 veg + 1 meat + rice

there is also one at lor 47 that charges $1 for 1 omette + rice + curry

The only food I can think of is Roti Prata Kosong 2 pcs standard price all below $2.50 in all majority hawker/coffeeshop.

I was shocked when I had to pay $1.60 for a cup of warm soya bean drunk in the Kopitiam in front of Buangkok MRT station last Saturday. Really really shocked.
Kopitiam foods are over price and taste like shit.

1 Roti Prata + Egg costs $2 at some foodcourts... ridiculously overpriced food.

Seriously, you guys would not have such problems if you are vegans.

Vegetarian food are more expensive leh.

No leh. For $2.50, I can get quite a decent vegetarian meal at my market. $1.50 gets me a packet of nasi lemak with egg omelette, ikan billis and rice.

What happened to the classic Khong Guan Fan Choy and Lo Mai Kai? I used to eat them at school during recess. Lo Mai Kai was $1 or slightly cheaper. Fan Choy's price is slightly higher than $1.

$2.50 can get 25 pieces of Maxwell market 0.10 cent ham chee peng, but is it still around?
