18 hopefuls vying to be Malaysia’s top model
IPOH: The Miss Malaysia Model of the World pageant is back again with beauties from all over the country vying to be crowned the nation’s top model. A total of 18 finalists will take part in the finals to be held at the Syuen Hotel here on Sept 19 at 7.30pm. Project consultant Veandra Voon of Star Avenue Production, the pageant’s main producer and national director, said the winner would represent Malaysia in the Miss Model of the World 2010 pageant in China.

“The winner will also take home RM4,000 and gifts from sponsors while the first and second runners-up will get RM2,000 and RM1,000, respectively. “Prior to the finals, contestants will take part in various activities in which they will be selected to receive various subsidiary titles. “There are 14 subsidiary titles to be won,” said Voon.
She added that this was the eighth consecutive year in which the finals were being held here. In conjunction with the contest, the organiser, together with Foto Imej Perak and Clearwater Sanctuary Golf Resort, held a model photo contest at the resort in Batu Gajah yesterday.
