17 bikes destroyed in parking lot fire
PETALING JAYA: 17 motorcycles were burnt when a fire spread through a parking lot of an apartment complex near Jalan PJU 6 in Kota Damansara. Petaling Jaya CID chief Deputy Supt Sia Siew Keng said the cause of the 4.30am fire is being determined.

“We are still trying to establish the motive,” he said. It is learnt the fire could have been started by a disgruntled resident who disliked the loud noises generated by the Mat Rempit at the apartment com- plex.
DSP Sia said the case is being investigated under Section 435 of the Penal Code for mischief by fire or explosive substance with intent to cause damage.
