12 year old Cherrii Lim Zi En was suffering from acute leukemia and as the days passed, her body wasted away and her days were numbered. Six months later, she lost her battle to the disease but not before accomplishing the 'impossible'.
Even on her deathbed, Cherrii a passionate mathematic whiz insisted on finishing her online math assessments. These challenging math questions were designed to challenge the most accomplished of math students and was a tie up between Punggol Primary and Koobits education centre. Students had to complete these questions everyday as part of self learning.
In spite of her terminal illness, Cherrii dutifully completed these math sums till the day she passed away, she submitted her final math assessment 7 hours before she succumbed to leukemia. In an awesome display of tenacity and fighting spirit, out of the 8000 students who took part in the math assessment, Cherrii emerged as Math Champion and this was awarded to her at her hospital bed.
What a tenacious girl! #RIP
