在班次方面，香港往福田、深圳北、虎门及广州南的列车开通初期，高峰期每天的班次最多是114对，其中84对到福田和深圳北，到虎门和广州南的有30对。
目前是以开通初期高峰日计算，对于非高峰期，则会估算客流情况再制定班次。日后班次的调动会视乎上座率情况，如果上座率提升，有可能加密班次。至于班次的详细时间表，正与中国铁路总公司研究中，日后再公布。
对于何为高峰期，陈帆解释，主要是配合香港公众假期、内地公众假期及7、8月的暑假，估计高峰期合计天数每年约130天，占营运时间超过三分之一。据悉，广深港高铁香港段于2010年4月正式动工，现目标完工期为2018年第三季度。
