Singapore will head to the polls on May 3, after President Tharman Shanmugaratnam dissolved the city-state's parliament on Tuesday.

The Nomination Day will be on April 23, according to the country's election department.

Half – or $250 – of the vouchers can be used in supermarkets, with the other half at participating hawker stalls and heartland merchants, said the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the Community Development Councils (CDCs) in a joint release on April 15.

Vote wisely means vote for the opposition to make the pap work harder. Because we know the pap will win the majority of votes and form the government anyway, it is wise to make them work harder considering the amount of money they make from us. We want value for our money.
