Beware Little Blue Riding Hooks! Here comes the Big Bad GMS!

Did I label you? I think you take it to yourself.

Again your big brother attitude is showing. Yes, I am immature and devoid of logic, by all means says it, it does not matter.

What matters is the fact that this forum has been over run by the WP members and supporters that has time and again painted others as black and theirs as gold, unreasonably. And anyone that comes in to defend their position has all been bulllied away. For me, this isn't healthy at all for pro-Singaporean politics.

Yes, I am still going to stick that label. And btw, a generic reference is not uncommon, whether you are mature or not. Whether you are some ministers or an ordinary kid.

I agree with you that all of us should have the space to state our beliefs and views. Cyber bully should be frowned upon. But my point is, just because I disagree with GMS on an issue doesn't mean I'm against him. This me-or-them attitude is divisive, dangerous and frankly quite childish. If we can't accept differences, how can we progress as a nation? If you're pro Singaporeans, then you have to embrace everyone, including those who do not share your beliefs. Otherwise, pro Singaporean is just a hollow label. Put it plainly, please don't say you're pro Singaporeans, show it.

I have no problem with proper reasoning. If you look at my posts, I always qualified it within "reason".

Now, you can put things so supremely, all that jazz about maturity etc...

Show it, don't just attack GMS the messenger, but the message that he is trying to convey, if you think it is without basis. Otherwise what you are preaching from the beginning is just hollow talks.

I'm simply asking Meng Seng to reflect on his constant focus on WP, which he did not deny. I also accept that he believes his actions are well-meaning. But in life, our intent can be noble but the consequences of our actions can be completely different. It's call unintended consequences. If this is an attack, then you have no seen a real attack.

I'm not against Meng Seng the person. Even if I disagree with him that his relentless pursuit of those issues, like YSL, is like flogging a dead horse. How is that contributing to local politics?

Then you have to challenge him on the point. Whether it will contribute to local politics, or as a key note that WP should now tighten their processes in evaluating a person to stood as a candidate in election. Time will tell.

I've put across the point to him several times now. Each time, he went back to re-visit the entire YSL incident. Don't think he understands what unintended consequences are? Or he's just pretending not to know and went ahead with his monologue. I would like to think its the former. If he's too thick up there, there's little I can do. Except maybe to pray for him.

Thank you for your response.

I will tell you why WP ended up with Yaw-gate and the integrity problems as it is now. It is because people are "impartial" and allows all these happenings to carry on for years. I have WP member who told me secretly that he had known about YSL's womanizer tendency when his female friend nearly fallen prey to YSL years ago. He chose not to say anything about it... maybe he don't want to be seen as "WP-basher".

When I "attack" PAP, I am not impartial. When I "bash" WP, I am neither impartial as well.

Goh Meng Seng

So what stopping you from blowing the whistle? After all you claimed to put the country's interests first. U should have the moral responsibility to prevent such character from getting elected and corrupt our sacred parliament.

Reminds me so much like a listed company AGM press conference. The Board goes there to assert their views and skip questions. Such tough questions you are asking, it won't answer.

You can also say very PAP-like. Questions are vetted by teachers before students can ask the PM.

I think it's my fault with the label of insect. I was the one who coined the label insect on CTL when he threatened to sue me and Perspective. CTL couldn't sue and in the end got beaten up without recourse, came out on frontpage headline that LTB gleefully archived. Anyway, CTL and I have since shaked hands and let bygones be bygones. Now Perspective and GMS are using the insect term on each other, especially GMS broadly on WP members of which his dearly departed brother used to be one. Heat of the moment is heat of the moment. But after heat of the moment, we all should cool down and think. Labeling and branding is quite a childish retort and resort. Reasoning it out is better and more of matured adult.

Don't flatter yourself. I didn't learn the word "insect" from you and neither did I even recall it was from you.

For those who recall, like TFBH, the FVI described an "insect" to be so much like its own character that it became an unwitting description of itself. I decided to do the favour since it liked the label and have never called names.

Then I coin Baygon. But schucks, BASF holds the rights.:D

Then you can say "Bygone". That's the fat insect's own perfume for itself. I guess everytime it uses some, it disappears for a few days, as we can see.

My friend and whole family in Hougang despite this incident still suppork WP. And I believe the neighbourhood still root for WP. To overlook the seriousness of the "very heavily concerned" integrity problems in WP by Hougang residents tells me either they condone and agree to WP's style and values, or they see this is not yet a very serious issue enough to send them to life-sentence as long as they have taken the right steps to make things right.

We have party members who refused to spill the beans on a fellow womaniser comrade and fellow members not admitting to plagiarism in controversial accusations. Some people sees this as a serious integrity problem that must hold the party to task, and demands a very satisfactory response and attitude that measures up to his highly ideal moral grounds. Is WP's response and corrective measures not enough to the people ,or at least to the people of Hougang to make most of them still stand behind them? Or is there integrity problem in the residents for still willing to have a party that is plagued with integrity problems to represent them? Some people is able to differentiate between a serious integrity problem of an individual and that of a party, while some people isn't able to do so. Some people is able to see grey areas in matters and allow room for individual perception and acceptance while some can't and cast a very serious opinion that could potentially lead to unfair serious consequence. Some people understands that certain problems within a party is inevitable and would give the party chance to execute its internal mechanisms to fix the problems while some people would make sure the party pays for serious consequence for acts that deviates from his high moral grounds. Some people knew certain things were not right or in agreement to his values and style from start but could not tolerate the way others view and handle it, and would not hesitate to come harsh when the issue he foresaw to happen really happened. ....... :(
