Bro, you missed out Toa Payoh, close to Braddell Road. This was the last designated location by the authorities.
Too young to remember :p

Surely you're not too old to forget?!?! :*::*::*:
Not that old , yet :p
During my teenage years , I would hang out with my hommies , smoke , TCSS and cycled to various red light districts to look see ( still skooling lah )
Only knew of Desker Road , Johore Road , Petain Road and Keong Saik Road ( internet wasn't available back then )
Only started to venture into Geylang after ROD-ing from the army in '93![]()
You and your hommies cycled there with BMX bikes..???![]()
His era would be the ET led BMX craze...with brands like kuwahara, mongoose, skyway, diamondback...You and your hommies cycled there with BMX bikes..???![]()

Ha..Ha..Ha.. Yes I remembered my elder cousin having that kind of bicycle with gear shift.. Then he upgraded to Kuwahara.. I remembered following him and his friends on cycling trips to Desker, East Coast during late nights.. He would also bring along this small Sansui stereo.. Cycled all the way from Bishan to Desker carrying an Umbro bag filled with water bottle, ciggarettes, torch light, batteries and few can of beer stolen from my Uncle's fridge.. First time I was at Desker, it was indeed an eye opener for me.. A big sized curly haired Malay Ah Kua came up to me and grabbed me by the balls..:o:o I was a bit scared then as she kept on asking me to follow her up the stairs... But I ciao fast fast and quickly cycled off with my cousin... How time flies...
That one too garang. The pros screw us, not we screw them.
As I replied to GD, always two sides to every story, and i'm sure he has come across many more cases than all of us combined. SG is simply not the place where you can find child sex slaves or those from rural china and vietnam forced to work as whores (which genuinely happens in other countries). Most prostitution in SG is fully consensual and there's no rape unlike what's suggested by foreign media.
Those were the carefree days .....
Had an army buddy from NS who was pestering others to take him to Desker Road. We used to laugh at him as others in their teenage days had already paid it visits even in school uniform, no badge.
So one day, couple of the chaps escorted him. As they turned around the corner, he spotted someone and that someone spotted him. Nothing was said and I understand nothing has been said since as the other chap he passed along the lorong was his father.
Damn... It must be a very awkward experience for both father and son..
Yes, and that's something foreign media correspondents don't seem to understand, or choose not to understand in order to sensationalize their stories.
Am for the maximum prosecution of thugs who abuse & cheat women and force them into sex which they don't want.
However in SG there's many more cases of pros who "cry wolf" when they earn enough and want to find easy way out. I know a victim of such a scam once, as he was my army buddy. Was con of few thousand by a thai backlane FL who said she was cheated and wanted to escape. In the end turned out she was an FL who earned enough, paid back all her due to her OKT, and want to find a sucker to sponsor return ticket back. Some OKT even know about such matters, but close their eyes since the gal already pay everything they owe to them.
2 sides to every story, bro. I'm sure you;ve come across this many times.
Flanders Square / Petain Road = Banana Leg ( in Hokkien )
Desker Road = Back lane ( in Hokkien )
Besides Keong Saik Road , there was Johore Road back in the 80's
Wonder if Bro GD remembers this place ( Johore Road ) ?
Too young to remember :p
