Geylang Porridge stall uses dirty alley for food storage and preparation

Raw meat and fish strung up with raffia string, trays of food on a dustbin -- a walk through this alley proved shocking for STOMPer Dennis, who saw how meals are prepared at this Geylang porridge stall.

Dennis relates the experience:

"Look at how dirty the preparation of food is at this Teochew Porridge store at Geylang Lorong 40.

"All of this is done away from the front of the store.

"They dry fish on top of a rubbish bin and hang food near laundry with dripping water.

"I have even eaten here at this stall before. Thankfully I did not become sick, but I'll never come back here again.

"The authorities should really send someone down to investigate their practices here."
