American Tony Poer the pornographer whose arrest reports were wiped clean from all the newspapers in Pattaya claimed yesterday that women flocked to be filmed and his arrest ‘never happened’.

In a phone call in which Tony Poer suggested he was outside Thailand he said that girls flocked to his door to be filmed by him. All were willing and all were compensated well. They could make a lot of money he said. He added that he was helping tourism.

Ash, i do not think there is a need for your govt to leegalized anything. When they leegalized something, that means they are stand to profit and corrupt on it.

Regardless of what they do, people are still paying for sex in one way or the other.

Building and leegalized casino and casino gambling is just to show that the PAP sinkie losers are incapable to attracting investments to sinkieland to create jobs for people

and

their incapabilities to nurture the people through education to be creative enough to set up their own MNC and international business.

They just subject to too much rule and it kills everything to be even creative enough to live a life. It is very very unhealthy. I advise people to move out of sinkieland to live a real life.

Hi Tony, yes, I agree that the Singapore government has failed in this regards in nurturing a creative, innovative population instead of the situation with the education in Singapore. In a way, I think they planned too much and just don't allow certain things to happen. This has the side effects that the people in general are used to not being able to think for themselves. I used to know a few pai kias, gangsters. I think the truly Singaporean that could think for themselves are unfortunately in them. Mind you, not the recent si gi na cases that goes around shouting and hacking people.


By the way, the Singapore is no longer the government I am in now.

Gambling has always been legalised in Singapore, with horse racing, 4D, toto and club jackpots. Casino (table games) was just an extension, just as football betting was just an extension. I don't think porn will ever be legalised. The government relies too much on decent womanfolks' votes to risk that. It's not particularly profitable anyway, unlike the extension of legalised gambling to football betting and casinos.

When I was a sec. sch. student, I've had a penpal in US who helped me smuggled a few copies Playboy and Penthouse to Singapore. After the initial curiosity died off, it was no big deal. When I grew up and actually went to live in US, I passed by bookstores and newsstands with these magazines and videos without giving a second glance.

Now with borderless internet porn, it's even harder to legislate and regulate for a small cosmopolitan city-state like Singapore. Legalising it would make regulating it embarrassingly impossible to enforce. Might as well leave it as it is, block a few well known pornsites now and there, and catch a few internet porn downloaders now and then for show.

HK always has legalised porn industry, in print and in video forms, well before the advent of the internet. So it has established inertia, from both business sustainability and social tolerance point of views.

If Singapore legalise print and video porn, the market is also going to be swarmed by imports from US, Japan, Thailand, HK etc. There's no industrial base here to compete against such moveable products. To develop a local porn industry? The social and political costs would be damaging.

It's unlike football betting or casino, where they're actually many wanting it openly and would like to have it permanently and legally. Porn is usually just a passing curiosity for young newbies. The social and political problems created by a minority of addicts and perverts are not worth it.
