confuse ....

i dont mind paying for the price if the seafood is good and service is good ..i think i will consider this place because near east coast .

by the way the restaurant name long beach or is there a beach that is long ?

thankyou for your infor .

It's a branch of LONG BEACH. Got lots of tanks of seafood inside. Ample parking in that area. Taxi sure know how to go.

I tried the other time few months ago, because I didn't want to go to east coast and squeeze with the crowd.

Service is not bad. The captain will ask us how is the food after we finished the meal, then you can give some feedback.

For goodness sake do not eat Sri Lankan crabs for they are known to feed on corpses of Tamil Tiger guerrillas in the seas off Sri Lanka.

up to you. the seafood in batam, all are live the are kept under the kelong.last week just went there , (not golden prawn)5 crab , 1kg prawn,2 veg.2 fish plus coke and rices cost me only 100 sing...

as i mention before ...i cant stay long in singaprore ...so batam is a bit too far for me . besides , my friend wants to try singapore food .

i remember the last time i had seafood when i come back singapore was in JB malaysia ( taman sri tebrau ) . its a hawker centre which sell seafood . its cheap and good but that place a bit too dirty ....

That's the kelong style restaurant...very relaxing! Last time they even hve the kuda kipang show from the other side of the restaurant! Wow, that was 8 years ago! Used to hve 2 restaurants there, rite? Tink is 88 or wat? Sori, I meant the seafood restaurant in batam!

Long Beach is good, after eating u can take a stroll at the board walk which is close to the sea!

jumbo vs long beach ...which one got the best atmosphere ?

Yah bro, the UDMC one, after dinner, u can take a stroll with your Nippon gfren along the board-walk!

bro , that outlet in UDMC got aircon anot ? thankyou .

Didnt see any air-con from the 2 storeys restaurant! Dun u worry cos it's quite windy! The service n reasonable pricing are the key factors!

i see...thankyou bro . but recently i heard singapore got haze right ? hopefully by next week the haze will be gone ...

For the 3 biggie poppies, my ranking is 1. Jumbo, 2. Long Beach and 3. No Signboard.

Batam and JB anytime better. But you need to go by ferry to Batam or drive to JB. For the JB seafood beach opposite Sembawang, you may get a taxi there but hard to get a taxi out and back.

what is the reason you chose jumbo over long beach ? food , service , pricing , location , atmosphere ?

Long Beach seaford claims heritage from the old Bedok restaurant that my parents brought me for my first ever serious seafood feast at around kindergarten age. I'd have rated it high for sentiments' sake, but discounted for loss of original location and ambience.

Jumbo and No Signboard are relatively newcomers. I think Jumbo scores high on modernised ambience away from the past era and No Signboard is just a place for Equalisation to feed his PRC pros.

Seafood is seasonal thing. Chefs come and go, it's hard to remain the best always.
