Staying in Sengkang I have to agree. Jamus is extremely popular here. He is also very much present, along with WP team and works very hard for us. Lam is hardly seen (except lately which we do not welcome) and is extremely unpopular. NCM is regarded as a free rider, a man with little principle and crony. Today he is son of Jln Kayu, tomorrow is the godson of AMK and last election, Sengkang. Such man cannot be trusted.

The Straits Times’ election coverage of the Sengkang GRC contest presents a veneer of balance but sidesteps key realities. By ignoring the PAP’s weak slate, downplaying WP’s performance, and omitting major national scandals, the report reads more like campaign messaging than journalism.

In the Sunday Times on 13 April, the first five pages of the newspaper were completely dedicated to PAP-related stories. Is this the ST or the PAP's own newsletter?

Jamus always struck me as a pompous asshole who always use flowery words to appear smarter than he is.

Take for example the recent case where he was suggesting that the government consier having an adjustable leasehold of 70 years for BTO flats. Its impractical.

This is so called "editorial integrity" for the sake of $900m over 5 years given from tax payers money.

Given Jamus Lim's background as a university Professor of Economics, is it reasonable to expect him to use Singlish in the same way as someone from a HDB working-class background? Apart from his background in academia, Jamus has experience working at the World Bank and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.

When I visited SK, i don't find any difference compare to the time when PAP was running the show.

The new Malay candidate is the workhorse of the team looking after municipal issues. Heard he did a good job running TC.

But the key to WP SK GRC performance lies in Jamus. Expect all incumbents to remain in SK.

If the Singkie govt don't want to pre-build the flats and stayed with BTO. it's not going to bring down the flats costs. Next best thing is to shorterened the lease of the flats so that the price of flats will stay lower and hopefully the growth for value of the flats will slowed.

The next best thing to do now is to vote for more opposition. LKY effect is gone. Lawrence Wong has proven nothing yet. More CDC voucher won't solve the issues.

If you have half a brain, you will know never to have varying expiry of leases within a same building. A HDB block should all have the exact same expiry date to be able to control the land use properly. I know its tough for you morons to visualize what proper land management is like, but make an effort.

Don't just be a typical Oppo supporter who
- complains about everything that the govt is doing
- endorses everything that an Oppo candidate is saying
- don't use any critical thinking

At the end of the day, all politicians are scums. Don't worry too much about what the color they are wearing. Some are just not being caught yet.

While most politicians in SG are in their jobs mainly for the obscene salaries on offer, the incumbent has been passing one hardship policy after another on long suffering S'poreans for far too long. Most of us cannot stand another 5 years of having to pay our dues to greedy leaders.

They like to give coverage to some joker Opposition. But WP, PSP and SDP, they didn't care to give any.

ST is trying to show readers that they are also giving coverage to the Opposition, but refuse to focus on the more credible parties, as they pose more of a threat to the PAP.
