GE2025: PAP fields Alex Yeo for Potong Pasir as Sitoh Yih Pin steps down after three terms
On 16 April, the People’s Action Party (PAP) named lawyer Alex Yeo as its candidate for Potong Pasir SMC, replacing Sitoh Yih Pin, who steps down after three terms. Yeo previously contested Aljunied GRC in GE2020 as part of the PAP team, which lost to the Workers’ Party with 40.07% of the vote.
The People’s Action Party (PAP) has announced that lawyer Alex Yeo will stand as its candidate for Potong Pasir Single Member Constituency (SMC) in the upcoming General Election.
The announcement was made on 16 April 2025, one week before Nomination Day.
Yeo will replace Sitoh Yih Pin, who is stepping down after serving three terms as Member of Parliament (MP) since 2011
