This is bullshit. It was the hongkies CCP lured to Shenzhen and that success was replicated elsewhere.

ccp was so fucked up even in simple road infrastructure back in 1990. one night i picked up a visiting exchange professor-scholar from beijing at sfo then and had to drive him to stanford to start his exchange program there. along 101 he remarked that u.s. was so “advanced” that even the lanes were lit up with tiny lights as lane dividers to help drivers stay in lane. he was so excited as he surmised that the entire freeway had power running below each lane. i calmly and cautiously replied that the tiny “lights” on the freeway were not powered but mere reflectors or mirrors reflecting light from the car’s headlights. i carefully explained that with such a simple and cheap part like a reflector being glued to the road entire freeways spanning thousands of miles in a huge cuntry like amerika or tiongcock transport authorities did not need electrical lines and power under freeways to lit them up saving billions of dollars. he remained silent thereafter until we reached stanford.

Well, the country was in poverty & Deng has to open up. Now you look at India, also the same trying to get the money first.
VW was there first. It was a bold move followed by the other German manufacturers.
GM at one time sold more cars in China than USA.
But those days are long gone as legacy autos neglected EV's.

What is remarkable is that China actually Lit up their entire highway after 30 years leaving US behind.
When i was in Belgium 1980's, their entire highway was lit up at night

daimler benz was also an early mover in tiongcock. the german boss who moved to tiongcock with his immediate family was butchered in his new home together with his family by ccp thugs. how could such a high profile investment from germany be bloodied by murder of an entire family in a highly secure home environment?

Death sentence for Chinese killers

Court

The condemned men have 10 days to make a final appeal
Four Chinese peasants have been sentenced to death for the brutal murder of a German family in the city of Nanjing three months ago.
The victims - an executive from the Daimler Benz car company, Juergen Pfrang, his wife and two teenage children - were hacked to death at their home.
The killings shocked the expatriate community in China, which is usually considered a safe country for resident foreigners.
Relatives of the murdered family had appealed to the court not to impose the death penalty, but their plea was rejected, and the condemned men now have 10 days to make a final appeal to the Higher People's Court.
Robbery plan

The four men - Zhang Eryang, Zhong Weiyang, Liu Guangyuan and Ding Shanyang - said they were planning to rob the Pfrangs' villa, when they entered through a second floor window on the night of 1 April.
The gang leader, Zhong Weiyang, said he had lost 2,000 yuan ($240) at cards the previous week and that he had chosen to rob the villa in the exclusive Jinling Royal Garden compound purely at random and had no intention of killing anybody.
But when Jurgen Pfrang entered the room where they were hiding, they stabbed and hacked him dozens of times with heavy knives.
They then pursued and murdered his 39-year-old wife, Petra, the couple's daughter Sandra Melanie, 14, and son Thorsten Oliver, 12.
The court heard that Pfrang was stabbed 45 times, including 24 times in the head and neck.
His wife was stabbed more than 80 times

fully lit up freeways are horrible for driving at night due to glares, multiple reflections and light interference. when driving in johor towards tuas checkpoint, it is pleasant and easy on the eyes. after passing checkpoint on the sg side, too much glare is hard on the eyes.

That's because sinkie over lit it's highways. They should reduce the light intensity by maybe 1/3.

Scary right? When leaders are power hungry, cannot let go of power & run like CCP.
The same party is still doing the same today. 60% Sinkies are extremely delighted - both voluntarily and involuntarily.

After 1997, Shenzhen and Hong Kong had a relationship that was not unlike JB and SG.

Things were much cheaper in Shenzhen, and you could buy products and services that would otherwise be difficult to get in Hong Kong.

To the EU china is indeed a ally. More reliable than the US.
Lol...Current Xi is totally not reliable as he tried to forget the help given to make China economically strong & people having jobs putting food on the table.
