cannot lah. if ocd unker cannot see his car from hdb balcony he will panic and run downstairs to charging center to check on his car every 6.9 minutes. for chau kuan auntie she will leave car at charging center for 6.9 hours preventing others from charging. sinkies sure fight at charging center. this will happen when 69% of all vehicles are evs. simply not enough charging points for all ev owners unless all hdb parking spots have charging ports. it’s like a treasure hunt with cars going round and round playing musical chairs.

1000kW = 1MW. The charging infrastructure must be upgraded if it wants to satisfy multiple charging stations. Set up costs will also be high.
I'm all for Nuclear Power Plants.
Infrastructure upgrade definitely needed. If they roll out in China , later in Indonesia, Thailand. Singapore don't roll out will be xiasuay, cannot claim to be lumber 1.
Besides if upgrade infra, the cronies of papaya will also benefit from govt contracts

Singapore is densely populated with dwellers staying in apartments, flats and condos. It is not conducive for EVs, especially when the whole country goes EVs. There will definitely be not enough charging stations, unless they can equip every parking lot with a charger, which I don't think it's possible, considering the vast infrastructure and costs involved. This is also the exact reason why New York has a very low EV take up rate.
If this technology can be proven to be safe and reliable, I think every petrol stations will set up their own charging points. Initial costs will be high but so will be the ROI. Only then can EVs be considered as practical and convenient as regular ICE vehicles. But then, knowing how greedy businessmen operates, it may not be cheaper than fossil fuels.
