Never, EVER, under-estimate the power & needs of society thru the Cabinet appointed Minister of Education. It is a powerful portfolio to hold, which defines the trust & confidence of elected Legislators to propel someone into such a CRITICAL position.

As one quip had mentioned, do not doubt the power of Education Minister Chan, as he have MORE followers AT HEART than even military commanders at their command, generations after generations of kids whom grew up KNOWING him & the POLICIES that had ENABLED them to earn an honest living to put food on the table for their loved ones after growing up & adapting to a REAL World, PREPARED.... A Debt of HONOR that must be repaid......

Our Founding Father the late Mr Lee KY emphasized on Uni education for young citizens & created good jobs for them. Rightly so as baby Singapore back then needed sheer taught intelligence, innovations & dedications to give us our today. Some fell out but MOST stayed on...

Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong expanded upon Education, once he came into power, & REACHED out to even ITEs, as he knew that in a society where everyone holds a PhD, it will the the garage owner who will be KING, whom will get down & dirty to repair machineries, thus an INCLUSIVE outreach to ALL citizens as it take COLLECTIVE efforts, no matter the race, language or religion to prosper our Nation...as our daily sworn sacred National Pledge had been taken & SUCCESSFULLY proven.

Many other Education ministers had held such portfolios, & proven by their rise thru what they had done for our kids, the future of Singapore....

NO mortal is perfect, & mistakes will be made, but Education Minister Chan had proven that he is willing to publicly acknowledge errors, to correct & progress, & had done so for years....His time or his protege's time is yet to come, to progress our Nation further than any would have thought possible, as happened back in the dismal & heart-wrenching Independence day in 1965 where MOST citizens were uneducated to face the World & survive.....

Just take at look at what's happening in USA. PrezTrump had enough of the woke & DEI foolishness that had hampered Americans growth thru Education & thus his heavy hands upon that USA dept....
